In a Beech Forest at Springtime

Green roofs upon pillars out of silver
Floor made of copper that's shining
A fairytale world for the wild
For the beauty derriving from freedom

You're running
Like a red fox leaping
Running like a restless squirrel
Dancing upon stones of grey in the purling brook
Light as the sprites of the sagas

Your real home is the forest
Here we'll be staying forever
You spin your gaze at the tree tops
The birds are all singing your praise
Doves pass you by in procession
To salute your arrival, my Prince of the Forest
To welcome you home to your palace of green

You sit down on a big rock by the brook
You're lying down to rest
You look at the streaming water
You are closing your eyes
A dragonfly passes over the current
The warblers are singing only for us

You are so full of beauty
So sweet
So vulnerable
So fragile
So radiant
I feel great  admiration
And thankfullness
Because I believe that you need me
And I defenitely know that I need you

No shouting
No quarrel
No stress
Only I
Only you
I, the Shy Dreamer
You, the Prince of the Forest
Resting in the Temple of the Beeches
Rocked gently to rest
By the sound of the leafs in the breeze

And I know now that I am in love
