Hi all my Care2 friends and everyone else who reads this. The action is for the world, not just my patch but there's no box for the world to fit into.

Only one photo. It's almost 21st of September where I live and thanks to one of my friends I know that's the International Day of Peace and it is going to get bigger every year if we tell one another about it. Look at these birds. There are several species sitting on the same tiny island without fighting or squabbling. Why don't we do the same? I always say it's human nature, but I'm going to give that up. Isn't it our nature to want to make life better for ourselves? War is just stupid. People killing and fighting one another is ridiculous. No one wins. One killing breeds another out of the revenge it gives birth to.

"What if they held a war and nobody came?" That's roughly the peace slogan I remember from the sixties. It's still good. (This is the origin, it seems - Carl Sandburg wrote "Sometime they’ll give a war and nobody will come" in The People Yes (1936))

Maybe you could pass it on too, or find something else to do to act for peace. What if they held a World Peace Day and nobody came? I think we know the answer.
