This is my Message that I send every week or so, to the President, my Representative, and my two Senators. {And in this instance, to the Vice President also.}

The Majority of the people of this country, approve that the President {and Vice President} chose not to go to the Sochi Olympics, and appointed some LGBT people among those representing this country there. This brief message is to commend that; and, further, to advise that in all future decisions regarding relations with other countries, their Human Rights policies - which include of course their policies on basic Gay Rights - be given primary consideration. In particular, those countries instituting policies where persons are deprived of Life and Liberty simply for being LGBT, for being who they are and for no other reason - such countries for example should NOT be recipients of U.S. Aid in any shape or form - not until they change their policies. The threat to cut off aid has proven an effective one, in curbing some of the more extreme anti-Gay legislation, particularly in some African countries. To repeat, countries where it is a crime even to BE Gay, where LGBT people are jailed and even by law killed, are countries that should be beyond the pale of receiving any U.S. taxpayers' money. The U.S. must use its great influence in the world, to PREVENT ANOTHER HOLOCAUST, this time shaping up to be about Gays instead of Jews. NEVER AGAIN! We must stop this Human Rights horror and tragedy before it goes any further! That is absolutely imperative in determining our Foreign Policy now.

The case AGAINST a Boycott: as recorded in the Gay Press:
The Gay Community, including the Gay Community in RUSSIA, itself, is DIVIDED on this issue.
23 Russian LGBT activists have issued a statement calling for a boycott of the Games, scheduled to begin February 7, 2014, in the resort town of Sochi.
"Vladimir Putin's regime will not get away with anti-Gay violence. We speak out in favor of boycotting Russian goods and Companies, and the Olympic Games in Sochi."

Other Russian activists, however, are urging the world to participate in the games but use the occasion to protest Russia's anti-Gay policies.
The Russian LGBT Network, an NGO affiliated with the International Lesbian and Gay Association {ILGA}, called for athletes and spectators to attend the games but visibly display solidarity with Russia's LGBT population. [See entire statement, too long to post here, on the ILGA FACEBOOK PAGE.]
"Do not boycott the Olympics - boycott Homophobia! Stand in solidarity with people in Russia and bring LGBT pride and values of human rights and freedoms to the Games in Sochi!"
Moscow Pride leader Nikolai Alekseev announced his group would organize a "Sochi Pride" to correspond with the opening day of the Olympics.
"Join us! It will be much more effective to draw attention to official homophobia in Russia all around the world and expose the hypocrisy of the International Olympic committee, which went into discriminatory agreements with [the] Russian regime, and of the European Court of Human Rights, which still has not considered our complaint... Vive Sochi Pride 2014!"

Two of the most prominent Gay American Olympians also joined in opposition to a boyott of the Sochi games: Gay figure skater Johnny Weir.... announced that he would compete at Sochi. [Altho the Russian Hate Campaign] "is heartbreaking and a travesty of international proportions... I still will compete... I implore the world not to boycott..."
Olympic diver and AIDS activist Greg Louganis told the New York Times that "Boycotts don't work... boycotts hurt the wrong people," meaning athletes who lose their opportunity to compete rather than the host country.
Weir and Louganis are joined by Gay New Zealand speed-skater Blake Skjellerup, who announced he would compete wearing a rainbow pin while in Sochi. "For me it's less about taking a stand and more about just being myself," he said. "I have no interest in going back into the closet in Sochi..."
[Former Olympic Athlete] John Carlos, [who in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, made waves by raising his fist in a Black Power salute on the medal stand], said: "The bottom line is, if you stay home, your
message stays home with you... Don't let your message be buried and don't bury yourself. To be heard is to be greater than a boycott..."

WILL SOCHI BE SAFE?
The International Olympic Committee issued a statement... saying it had "received assurances from the highest levels" of the Russian government that athletes and fans would be exempt from arrest...
Nevertheless, Russian officials maintain that they will enforce Russian law. [!]
[Whom do you BELIEVE?]
[Also, if Olympians are "exempt", how about the innocent LGBT people who LIVE in Russia who are NOT "exempt"? How best to SHOW SOLIDARITY with them. An OPEN Question!]

This CONSIDERABLY CONDENSED from "A Debate of Olympic Proportions: Should the LGBT community boycott the 2014 Winter Games in Russia?"
by Mike Andrew, Seattle Gay News Staff Writer.
The Statements and Interviews in fuller detail, are available elsewhere on the Internet.

Devils marching "Sinners" down to Hell!

At any moment, Nigeria's parliament could pass one of the harshest anti-gay laws the world has ever seen.

10 years in prison for living with someone of the same sex
10 years in prison for supporting the idea of a pride march
14 years in prison for trying to have a wedding

All Out is working closely with the following partner organisations in Nigeria:

Changing Attitude Nigeria, Improved Youth Health Initiative, Initiative for Advancement of Humanity, International Center for Advocacy on Right to Health, Sexual Minorities Against AIDS in Nigeria, The Initiative for Equal Rights, The Initiative for Improved Male Health, Nigerian LGBTIs in the Diaspora Against Anti-Same Sex Laws.

==================================

This is NO SURPRISE after the Kill the Gays Bill pending in the Ugandan Parliament.

There are also SIMILAR BILLS BEING INTRODUCED in other African countries such as Kenya, Zambia and others.
It is IMPORTANT TO NOTE, that ALL these bills ORIGINATED with American - AMERICAN! - fundamentalist Evangelical "Christians". Yes, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE HOMOPHOBIC GENOCIDAL BILLS. Our AMERICAN exports!
Research now being done into African history before the coming of European Colonialists and Missionaries, does NOT turn up homophobia in Native African traditions - not even among African Muslims before the coming of European colonialists! This research is still going on...

These homophobic Genocidal bills, originate from the group known as The Family or the "C" street group, headquartered in Washington D.C. This group also sponsors a "National Prayer Breakfast" to which the President and members of Congress are invited!
People like Pastor Scott Lively, and others, have TRAVELED for this purpose to African countries where they have CONTACTS, or make contacts, thru Christian missionary churches there.
They tell the Africans that this IS NECESSARY for Christians, to fight "the Gay menace".
They GIVE HUGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY to aspiring African politicians who will promote this agenda! thus giving these politicians HUGE ADVANTAGES in poor countries with new and shaky Democracies...
As American Churches, this money given is of course all TAX-FREE... the American Churches can raise it any way they want to!
Aspiring, and unscrupulous, African Politicians quickly see where the money is, and their POWER...
Politicians such as David Barati, in Uganda, whose"weird" {she says} interview with Rachel Maddow is on youtube.

IMPORTANT TO TELL PEOPLE THIS IS ENTIRELY, AND I MEAN ENTIRELY, THE AMERICAN RELIGIOUS RIGHT'S DOING. Since they are LOSING here, they are going to the "fringes" where they CAN win - then "flushed with Victory" they say they intend to BRING THE FIGHT BACK TO THE US AGAIN. THAT is their strategy.

Since being Gay is as old as the Human race, and older, found among all sorts of primates and other animals! - of course there have been Gay people in Africa since the beginning!

African rulers of powerful African kingdoms were known to be Gay or Bisexual. {Some of these rulers were Women.}
European missionaries, explorers and Colonial administrators were SHOCKED, all over the world, by the "ungodly, un-Christian" manifestations of sexuality they encountered.

The first laws against Gays were passed by European colonial administrators, spurred on by the Missionaries. But they were very selectively enforced, against people whom the govt wanted to "get" for some other reason. They had little effect on the culture, possibly. Anyway, there were, and still are, in big cities Gay bars and Gay entertainers just like anywhere else in the world.
People in these African countries, especially Gay people, are now researching their own history to set the record straight. This research is ongoing. There are a lot of LIES to reveal and combat.

The LIE perpetrated by the American Evangelical Homophobes going into Africa with their deadly agenda, is, that "BEING GAY IS A EUROPEAN IMPORT". They thus appeal to some Africans' NATIONAL PRIDE to "get rid of Gays and FOREIGN INFLUENCE". This is what the unscrupulous African politicians financially supported by The Family, are saying to advance their program. COULD ANYTHING BE MORE IRONIC?????

It is HOMOPHOBIA that is in reality the "foreign, Western, European, non-African" import!!!
But, people deluged by propaganda, and from their own Churches!, don't "get" the Irony... or the facts.

Since April, we've experienced several tragic suicides of middle-school aged children -- each provoked by anti-LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) bullying and harassment.

These heartbreaking student suicides are a chilling reminder to all of us that we need to stand up and take action to prevent the perpetuation of soul crushing anti-LGBT behavior that is claiming young lives.

Passing the Safe Schools Improvement Act (H.R. 2262) would mark a pivotal turning point in the crucial fight for safer schools. It would establish -- for the first time in our nation's history -- a federal mandate for schools to adopt anti-bullying policies that include the categories of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression. This act would ensure that schools no longer get a "pass" when they turn a blind eye to anti-LGBT behavior, and it would require them to address all forms of bullying.

Take a stand today. Urge your representative to support the Safe Schools Improvement Act today

 ....What the Safe Schools Improvement Act aims to do is compel schools to act on homophobia in the classroom and to draw up policies to deal with anti-gay bullying and the issues faced by LGBT students, rather than just ignoring them. Currently, schools lack a federally approved framework to do so.
