For a few years, I had the opportunity to work as an aide on the Special
Needs school bus for my school district. Everyday I witnessed first-hand
the incredible love and devotion the parents of Special Needs Children
bestowed on their children. One day after a child with Downs Syndrome
jumped off the bus into the arms of her mother, it dawned on me just how
special these parents are. And in that moment, I thought there should be
a National Day of Recognition For Parents of Special Needs Children.

Your help is needed to make this a reality. I call upon you, the members
of this group, to contact your Congressional Representative and ask him
to join in with Congressman Mike Turner (R), Ohio, to sponsor or
co-sponsor legislation to honor the Parents of Special Needs Children.
