I'm stunned and saddened by the loss today of Anita Roddick.

I had the privilege of working with Anita on a project of hers in Mexico a number of years ago.  We helped a small fishing village transition from an economy based on hunting endangered sea turtles and sharks to one that produced natural shampoo and soaps for the local tourist trade. She was the real deal. An inspiration, an innovator, a fountain of energy and a truly wonderful person. 

Anita was a leader in so many ways - a fantastic role model for those of us who have created socially responsible businesses and who seek to make the world a better place.

Her legacy will live on, and she has had a remarkably positive impact on society, but this was far too early to lose such a wonderful, powerful, force for good.
