Hi all,

I apologize for the delay in the official announcement. I’ve been dealing with a lot the past few days that have kept me from doing this. But, things are looking up now and here it is - the official announcement that “Predators or Prey?” is out!

The book was officially released on Thursday, July 10, 2008. It’s available through the publisher, Dark Castle Lords Publications, at

http://www.thedarkcastlelords.com/predators-or-prey.htm and All Romance Ebooks at http://allromanceebooks.com/product-predatorsorprey-9783-140.html for $6.50 per download.

Before it’s release, “Predators or Prey?” was already receiving a lot of positive attention. I hope that everyone thoroughly enjoys reading the book!

Hi all,

We’re three days from the release of my latest novel, “Predators or Prey?”. It’s being published by Dark Castle Lords Publications. Only minutes ago, I received an e-mail from my publisher letting me know that “Predators or Prey?” is available for pre-order at All Romance Ebooks (

http://allromanceebooks.com/product-predatorsorprey-9783-140.html ) for $6.50 per ebook download.

But wait…you’re thinking, “The book is horror, not romance. Right? So…um…what’s it doing for sale on a romance novel website?” Yes, it’s horror. But there are also romance/relationship subplots woven all through it. And those subplots are enough for it to not only count for sales as a romance, but they were also enough for All Romance Ebooks to give “Predators or Prey?” a heat rating of two flames…

Hi all,

As I’m sure you all know by now I self-published my first three novels. A few days ago I received an e-mail from a gentleman who runs a website for self-published authors. The site is called “The Shared Self-Publishing Experience” (

http://www.shared-self-publishing.com/index.html ). The site is set up so that self-published authors can submit articles detailing the experience of getting their self-published novel into print. It’s categorized and authors with books in multiple categories are allowed to submit multiple articles. Only one article per category is allowed. After exchanging a few e-mails with the site’s owner, I wrote a piece for my first novel, “Winter’s Rite”, and submitted it. For those who may care to read it, that article is now live on the website and can be found at http://www.shared-self-publishing.com/journey-of-winters-rite.html. I have also submitted a piece for my third novel, “Gauntlet”, but is has not yet undergone review for posting.

Hi all,

I just had an e-mail from my publisher regarding a warning against a new virus. This was the first I’ve heard of this. My publisher didn’t even seem to know just how much validity should be attributed to this. But, I wanted to bring it to everyone’s attention just in case. Below is the relevant portion of the e-mail I received:

BIG virus coming

I checked with Norton Anti-Virus, and they are gearing up

for this virus!

I checked snopes.com, this morning, and it is for real!!

Get this E-mail message sent around to your contacts ASAP.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY

AND CONTACTS!
You should be alert during the next several weeks. Do not

open any message with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD,'

regardless of who sent it to you.

It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns'

the whole hard disc (C drive) of your computer. This virus

will be received from someone who has your e-mail address

in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to

send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive

this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.

If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent

to you by a friend, do not open it.! This includes all cards,

too. Shut down your computer immediately.

This is the worst virus announced by CNN. It has been

classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.

This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there

is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply

destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where your vital

information is kept.

Hi all,

Things are progressing for “Predators or Prey?” again. I have the edits back from the editor. Dark Castle Lords Publishing ( http://www.thedarkcastlelords.com/ ) now has “Predators or Prey?” listed on their “Coming Soon” page. They’re saying July. No particular date has been set, but it looks as if “Predators or Prey?” will be out next month!

There’s a lot of support for this project. I want to thank everyone for that. And, I hope everyone truly enjoys the novel when they read it!

Hi all,

I just wanted to let everyone who may be waiting on a reply to an e-mail know that I’ll get back to you soon as I can. I’ve caught some kind of bizarre summer cold.

To let those of you lucky enough to live someplace other than Florida know what I’m going through… Though it’s only mid-May, we’re already having daytime highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s. And it’s very humid. So, I sit here at home with the air conditioner running, dressed in jean shorts and a tank top, still uncomfortably warm, forcing myself to drink hot tea to help fight the cold. My time is mostly being spent camped out on the couch, watching baseball ( go Cubs! ), consuming mass quantities of cold medication, hot tea and Fiery Habanero Doritos, and going through tissue by the metric ton. I’ve come to firmly believe that Puffs Plus with Vicks are the absolute pinnacle of tissue evolution. And, yes, the Fiery Habanero Doritos are medicinal - they’re great on a sore throat.

So, if you’ve e-mailed me and I’ve not yet replied, it’s not that I don’t appreciate the time and effort you took to write - I do, very much. And I will get back to you soon as I’m feeling better.

Hi all,

I just wanted to take a few moments to say thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hi to me at Yancy Street Comics during the Free Comic Book Day event today. A couple of months ago I did the two-day signing at USA Flea Market. I said afterwards that was the best signing I’d ever done and was the one I had the most fun at. Today was right up there with it. Thank you Yancy Street gang for having me back for another great event!

I had the pleasure of meeting some great people involved of the creation of some great comic books today. Wil Quintana, Billy Tan, Austin Janowsky, Jim Fern and Bob Layton - thank you all very much for your time and kindness today. It was a true pleasure to meet each of you and I sincerely hope to bump into you all again in the future.

Also today, I had the pleasure of having my photo taken with Batman, Sue Richards, an Ewok and a very small Supergirl. I was stunned to find that all were members of the same family. I had never even suspected any such connection… Seriously, thank you. All of you.

And, as always, to those of you who bought copies of my work, thank you for the support. It’s always greatly appreciated. I hope you all enjoy the books!
