UPDATE JANUARY 27, 2007: There are over 70 dogs in this 10-run pound, many of which we've not had the opportunity to put on the website. This overcrowding means dogs are fighting, sometimes brutally, amongst themselves. Euthanasia is inevitable next week if we can't move some of them out. PLEASE, PLEASE ADOPT A DOG FROM THE ROWAN COUNTY POUND. RESCUE GROUPS - WE NEED HELP! If anyone can donate an outdoor kennel, volunteers can take some of them to their homes. While we realize being kept outdoors isn't the best situation in the world (it's not like we're in North Dakota.....), it's certainly better than their present conditions and what could befall them in mere days.

Sue C. and Julia S. DESPERATELY need vet bill help for rescued dogs. We both have VERY large balances on our rescue accounts. If you can help, both our vets take cards by phone or checks by mail. Until I get my balance down, I cannot help any dogs.

We are in URGENT need of foster homes! Please email us if you can short-term foster a dog while it awaits transport to a rescue.
