Elfe Juvenile Products of Montreal issued a recall notice for Chinese-made baby cribs because of a safety issue. The company did not specify what the safety issue is, but has asked customers to stop using the cribs immediately.
The company says there have been no injuries associated with the Charlotte cribs, which are white and have the model number 571515. They were manufactured between July 30, 2005 and Sept. 1, 2005.
More than 3,000 of the cribs have been sold at Wal-Mart stores in Canada between August 2005 and January 2006.
Customers are asked to contact the company at 1-800-667-8184.
The other recall order concerns the voluntary recall of four styles of liquid-filled infant teethers. The First Years company said the liquid inside the teethers is possibly contaminated with bacteria, although there have not been any reported illnesses.
The teethers were sold under the product names: Disney Days of Hunny Soft Cool Ring Teether, Disney Soft Cool Ring Teether, First Years Floating Friends Teether and Sesame Beginnings Chill & Chew Teether.
