Many,Many years ago-when the buffalo spread across the land-like wild flowers...we hunted for food and clothing. The herd was good to us-and we thanked Mother Earth and Father Sun for our blessings from a good hunt.Never did we take more than we needed to tide us over for the long winters.
One day-there came odd looking men-one's who had never seen  Father sun.How Pale we thought-and we watched from our hidden places-and then we heard the thunder-and saw smoke-and watched as the big,and small with the herd fell to the earth. Why did thunder make them fall? Why did the smoke kill them-and leave them laying on Mother Earth? There was only thunder when Sister Rain blessed us-and Brother Fire kept our campfires going.
Why did these Palemen just take the heads, and horns? Why would they disrespect the Animals the Great Spirit gave us to honor?
Soon we realised that the Palemen did not know who had given them sanction to even find the Buffalo. When we tried to explain-they were terrified-and shot the men and women down. They did not understand that the "tontonkas" were special-as well as the HumanBeings(thats what we were called)-and that we were not hurtful-just full of knowledge that we wished to share. The Palemen were like children-afraid of shadows-so back into the shadows we went-to take our dead and wounded back to camp.
Our Medicine man went high up the mountain of The Spirts-and asked,"Why are they afraid? Why do they kill?"-His answer was quiet and quick,"Palemen kill what they do not know. What thy do not know-they fear. This is why.No matter what you try to say-they will always kill what they fear".And it has always been so-yellow-white-red-black-everyone,are forever killing what they fear.If they turely knew that the opposite of Love was NOT hate-but FEAR-they would try to understand. But few do.So it was told-so it is written.

"Change happens when the pain of holding on becomes greater than the fear of letting go."

Tears are a *gift* from the Creator to help wash away the pain that we carry silently within our hearts. It is a *cleansing* for our Spirit.

Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak. Sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go.

Each of our lives is like a painting and we are the master. Each day and each act can be another stroke on the canvas. If our hearts are in the right place, we will create something of beauty that will touch peoples lives and be remembered.
