Dangerous legislation seeks to silence Christians

When liberty hangs in the balance ... when free speech is threatened ... when blatant attacks on our constitutional freedoms begin to test the fabric of our nation ...

... it is up to us to stand firm - to demand accountability and fight for our freedom.

This is exactly what I am asking you to do today.  I urge you to join our nationwide campaign by reading and signing our online PETITION OF PROTEST, raising your voice against one of the greatest threats to freedom of speech that Congress has ever considered.

This is urgent.  As I told you before, this legislation will forcibly restrict your right to free speech - which is absolutely unconstitutional.

No one has the right to regulate and restrict your free speech ... your pastor's free speech ... your church's free speech nor to stop anyone from speaking out on the issues.

This is the opposite of what the Founding Fathers intended when they included in the First Amendment to the Constitution the right ''to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.''

As of right now, almost 100,000 concerned citizens have signed our petition.  And make no mistake about it:  your lawmakers heard what they had to say about this critical matter.

Late last week, great gains were made in the Senate.  The Bennett Amendment, which eliminated Section 220 of Senate Bill 1 - the bold attempt to muzzle grassroots lobbying and effectively silence the citizens of our nation - passed the Senate.  This is a small step towards victory in this free speech showdown.

However, Senate Bill 1/House Resolution 4682 is now immediately on its way to the House of Representatives, where it is sure to be met by liberal politicians with guns blazing.  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leading the charge of Congress on this legislation and it is moving FAST.

I am asking for your help.  I urge you today to make your voice heard in this critical matter!

WE WILL NOT TOLERATE HOUSE SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI'S AND HER FELLOW LIBERAL LAWMAKERS' ATTEMPTS TO SILENCE THEIR OPPOSITION.  This is unconstitutional!

This may be the greatest threat to freedom of speech that Congress has ever considered ... one of the most significant violations of the free exercise of religion and the freedom of political speech in our nation's history.

It seems our liberal Congress wants nothing more than to eliminate political discourse on the most crucial issues of the day.

BUT I REFUSE TO BE SILENCED.  And by joining your voice with mine, you are saying NO to those who would think nothing of taking away our right to speak freely.
