Bad drinking water and inadequate sanitation can cause life-threatening diarrhea. Without early intervention, children can very quickly die from acute dehydration.

Population Services International (PSI) is a global health organization offering programs targeting malaria, child survival, HIV/AIDS, and reproductive health. PSI provides life-saving products, clinical services and behavior change communications that empower the world’s most vulnerable populations to lead healthier lives. PSI educates people about how to purify drinking water in the home, as well as improved hygiene, giving families the tools and skills they need to keep their children healthy.

You can help by earning Butterfly Credits and contributing to a worthy cause. It takes about 20 seconds to redeem your credits.

safe? many people don't realize the dangers of sodium fluoride and its permanent effects on the brain. not to mention the recent finding of countless pharmaceuticals in many of the larger u.s. cities. safe really depends on ones point of view or in comparison to...I have an active petition calling for the outlawing of sodium fluoride. i do agree that we need to help get fresh clean drinking water to any nation that needs it

Us in the developed world often forget safe drinking water and proper sanitation are vital factors for people's survival as they seem something that everyone always has where we live. Thank you so much Care2 for helping us help others in less fortunate situations.
