A video shows a cat curling and cuddling up with a brood of chicks. The cat is an orange and white tabby and some of the chicks have similar coloring.
“Ginger Family” is the name of the video : Who would have thought a cat could be so kindly disposed to some chicks?
While suggesting that the “minute-long video is proof that felines and fowl can be friends,” the New York Daily News can’t resist a sarcastic jab wondering if the “cat had Chicken McNuggets in mind for its next meal.”
Some more stories about unexpected interspecies friendships on Care2 are about a baby kangaroo and a wombat sharing a pouch, the elephant Tarra mourning Bella the dog, the one-plus year of friendship between a cheetah and a dog.
If they can all get along, why can’t we humans, too?
