The ASPCA has been doing great work to bring an end to puppy mills. With the public becoming more and more aware of puppy mills, there are many who don't fully understand what a puppy mill is. Luckily, the ASPCA has put together a great collection of facts.
“We hope the findings from our investigations will help educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills and will result in an ultimate solution to this very serious problem—the end of selling puppies in pet stores and the closing of puppy mills,” says Bob Baker, Investigator, ASPCA Anti-Cruelty Initiatives.

STOP these horrible mills NOW let these poor dogs be pets and be loved and cared for. They are living creatures how would the mill owners like to be treated like this WAKEUP to yourselves.

Animals are so very precious & loving. They will love you no matter what to the very last breath! If we could learn lesson from them, mankind would not be so evil & cruel in dealings with one another & towards animals. Those that abuse animals for their own gain will burn in HELL! Animals & humans have the same feelings, the only difference is that humans fight back & the poor animals take the beatings. Only do to others what you can easily experience yourself! Banish & Vanish Puppy Mills FOREVER!

why is this inappropriate?
Education and awareness is the key. It's always surprising how many people don't know what puppy mills are, how many people think they know what puppy mills are, and how many people know and don't care. The more people there are that fully understand this issue the less people there will be buying puppies from pet shops and online. In Connecticut we are waiting for Governor Rell to sign our Puppy Lemon Law and Traceback Bill. This law will be a big impact on people in CT that make their living selling puppies from mills.
Talk to friends and family and co-workers about puppy mills. Teach your children to talk to their friends and teachers about puppy mills. If you ever get the chance, join a protest in front of a pet store. Talk to people about adoption and it's wonderful rewards and how easy and economical it is. Don't assume people already know about puppy mills because many don't. Spread the word.

I totally agree that all puppy mills should be shut down!! These poor defenseless sweet animals are abused to the max!!

If all the people don't know about puppy mills they have been living in a shoe.
All of these need to be closed down TODAY and that is a fact.
If there wasn't so much money involved with this all them would be closed TODAY no doubt about it!!!

why doesnt the goverment just outlaw them i mean seariously these are animals they are NOT things that you can mate so you can sell their puppies, i mean really imagine yourself being in those conditions, giving birth every 3 months and having to be forced to have sex and not even get fed with actual food and clean water. sometimes we have to put ourselves in their place
