The latest polling from Massachusetts shows a senate race that is once more too close to call, with Rasmussen declaring Republican Senator Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren tied at 45 percent support each.
In an attempt to break the deadlock, Brown has released a new ad, “Independent.” “Tonight, the independent majority has delivered a great victory!” he shouts from the podium on election night, 2010.
Scott’s campaign has obviously decided his only hope to keep his seat is to downplay his ties to the Republican party. But will Warren’s campaign let them get away with that?
Not a chance.
“Scott Brown has spent the past two years avoiding questions about his record and his views on issues important to the people of Massachusetts, ducking town hall meetings with his constituents and policy questions from reporters,” adviser Doug Rubin says in a fundraising email, ” He’d rather talk about his jump shot than his voting record.”
Looks like the war of words is just beginning.
