Care2 Launches “Daily Deals” for Green Products and Services

It is said that “money moves mountains”, and for better or worse that’s often true. Every dollar you spend is either helping build a more sustainable future, or perpetuating business as usual. Our new service, Care2 Daily Deals, will help you discover great deals (up to 70% off!) on products and services that are helping move society along that sustainable path.

Care2 Daily Deals is a partnership between Care2 and blissmo, a social enterprise we highlighted here, and were inspired by, several months ago. Every day, we’ll feature a new organic or eco-friendly product at a fantastic discount. Products will include food and beverage, lifestyle, beauty, baby, apparel and more.

You’ve probably seen other “daily deals” or “social shopping” sites pop up over the last couple of months – so does the world really need another site like Groupon or Living Social? No, and the world really doesn’t need more consumption – but what it does need is smarter consumption, and support for businesses that are moving in the right direction.

Care2 has chosen a partner in blissmo with a track record of selling exceptional organic and eco-friendly products. When combined with the power of Care2’s 15 million members we believe that Care2 Daily Deals can help make a big impact.

We’re excited about the first groups of products we’ll be offering. On the right side of the Daily Deals page, you can sign up for an email to never miss a deal and we’ll send them directly to your email inbox. We’ll also be featuring the deals on the Care2 homepage. If you know about a product that is organic and eco-friendly and would like to be featured as a Care2 Daily Deal, vendors can apply to be featured at http://www.blissmo.com/apply/.
