This Mother’s Day, the Meals on Wheels Association of America (MOWAA) is launching its second annual “Meals for Moms” campaign to bring food and smiles to senior homebound moms. MOWAA is partnering with Gallo Family Vineyards to sponsor the event. Both groups hope the campaign will raise awareness and increase funding for food programs that fight the growing problem of hunger among the elderly in America.
From the MOWAA press release about this year’s Meals for Moms campaign:
“Individuals can visit MealsforMoms.org to send a message of hope to a lonely and homebound senior mom or send an e-card to a special woman in their life. With the help of the official sponsor, Gallo Family Vineyards, the campaign’s goal this year is to send 50,000 messages. All funds raised will go into the Meals for Moms Fund to help Meals On Wheels programs feed homebound senior moms around Mother’s Day next year. MOWAA-sponsored research reveals that a staggering six million seniors are facing the threat of hunger in America, and the numbers are growing. The majority of those seniors are women. Gallo Family Vineyards is a family-owned winery and understands the importance of family, sharing the firm belief that the world is a better place when we don’t just take care of our own families, but take care of each other.”
Meals on Wheels is the largest organization dedicated to providing meals to Americans in need. One of their primary goals is to end hunger among the elderly by the year 2020, and Meals for Moms is their largest effort to help accomplish this.

kevin , you just contradicted yourself, you can't like dogs and say you will do whatever it takes for…
Maybe there should be a deposit. If you make it back, then you can have it back, as long as you also…
@ Carol M. No matter which translation is closest to the scrolls in no way does it gives any credence…

My grandmother got meals from Meals for Wheels. She always enjoyed the smiles they had for her.

What a wonderful thing. Thank you for lighting the way, and lightening my day.
Thanks
This sounds very nice. But do the meals use factory farmed animals? If they do, then they might be increasing overall suffering, even though the intention is compasionate.
Great when people work together. Kudos.
How sweet!
