For most people, the BP oil spill is already a distant memory. The Deepwater Horizon well has been sealed (for now) and many clean-up crews have been sent home.
For the people that live on the Gulf Coast, however, the devastation caused by the massive oil spill is a daily reality.
Watch as this concerned citizen captures a recent fish kill at Grand Isle State Park in Louisiana. The video shows oil and dispersant washing up on shore alongside dozens of dead fish.
(Disclaimer: the videographer answers his phone while shooting part of the video, which is distracting).
In the distance, clean up crews quietly bury the fish carcases in the sand just feet below where children will soon be playing.

Elaine A., I must admit that the more I read your posts the more you irritate me. You irritate me NOT…
Great video... although somebody should have proofed the spelling and horrendous grammar!
David, the difference is that Walker is paying for his ad with his own money, or with money voluntarily…

+ add your ownOut of sight, out of mind. What happened to the Gulf should be seen weekly until BP puts up all the $$$ they said( in the commercials) to clean up the mess in the Gulf. What was the cost of ONE commercial??or did someone feel sorry for BP & do it pro bono??
Just this week on a national news channel, someone in a boat was on the gulf and dipped this net into the water and pulled up about 3 gallons of oil. The crisis isn't over yet and we should never forget.
Maybe the French were right in their Revolution enough is enough.
Petition signed. BP did to the Gulf what Irish banking executives did to the Irish economy.
OMG, that is disgusting! But this has probably been ongoing since the spill in April! BP just got caught this time. Thank you for filming that!
Shame on you BP, you may get away from the hands of Human Justice but you Will NEVER get away from the Justice that comes of GOD.
Honestly I'm not that surprised. Except for those who live close to the spill most is now out of the news. BP is doing what I thought they would... Ignore the whole thing now.
Noted. Thanks.
That BP is moving on to their money-making endeavors and not making certain that all has been done to do right by the people and the area is SHAMEFUL.
Is it my immagination or when their is a heavy article day, like today, it seems there are no butterfly points after the 25th or 30th article?????????????
