The Chengdu Panda Base in southwest China has taken great strides to educate the public about the Giant Panda’s endangered status and also leads conservation efforts. Currently the base is home to 113 panda cubs, all of whom were born in the same three-month time period. One of their giant pandas, Yuan Yuan, gave birth to a cub in late August, and we still eagerly await learning its gender.
