Daily Cute: Mao is Reunited with His Family One and a Half Years Later

After Mao the cat was rescued from a house fire and treated for injuries, he disappeared. His family eventually assumed he had passed away. A year and a half later, though, they got an incredible surprise. Mao was found, alive and well.

Watch this touching video as Mao sees his family for the first time.

Awwww... I think Mao missed her as much as she missed him/her! Beautiful baby. Keep him/her in the house from now on!

a very happy ending. Do not know if he was or was not microchipped but all pets should be

I agree that microchiping is a good idea, it's not always going to be helpful. Living in a rural area as I do, most people have dogs, and a wondering cat won't go in close to a house. Here, the best bet is to alert the local vet and the animal shelter who keep the report on hand so if anybody does have a cat stray in they can call and check.
Thank you all who sent stars for my earlier comment. I wish I could report a happy reunion, but so far my sweet yearling has not returned.
