Yes, animals form a bond with their humans, and sometimes it is to their own detriment. Just look at all the abused animals that are forgiving of the owners that beat them, who never turn on the abuser.

Not only does he work to protect our country, but also adopts a rescue dog! Yea!
How can a creature capable of so much love for Man(kind) EVER be hurt or abused by Man? It is just beyond me.... far, far beyond me.
