Florida Abortion Clinic Likely Victim of Arson….Again

Florida Abortion Clinic Likely Victim of Arson….Again

As a new year rang in across the nation, a fire burned down the American Family Planning clinic in Pensacola, Florida — a fire that authorities immediately dubbed “suspicious.”

This isn’t the first act of violence the clinic has seen, or even the first act of violence conducted on a holiday.  The clinic was firebombed on Christmas day in 1984, and the bombers served five years in jail before they were released.   And two were killed and one wounded when an anti-abortion “protester” shot a doctor and escorts outside the clinic in 1994.

Arson at the clinic is just another reminder that as the debate over a woman’s right to chose gets more intense, and as more and more clinics are being shut down via over-regulation, defunding and other legal and legislative tactics, in the end there is still a faction of the “pro-life” community that would be willing to shut sites down with any means at their disposal, seeing acts of violence as justifiable in a war to “save the babies.”

As rhetoric from both sides heats up, and more people define being anti-abortion as protection of life at the moment of conception, even above the will or health of the mother, you can expect more acts of terrorism to pop up, as well.

Pathetic that a state as populated as Florida has such extreme and violent ignoramuses.

Religious ... rather mentally ill and distorted fanatics.

Any service towards women suffers the same consequence in Afghanstan. So don't try and tell me the anti-choice groups differ from the Taliban. They have the same mentality, suppress the women in the name of our religious faith.

This is such a shame. Why are most Christians such hypocrites? They say they are pro-life yet they have no problem setting fires and bombing abortion clinics. It is sick.

These pro-life hate mongers should spent as much energy helping the lives that are already here. The millions of children starving to death, the children sold into sex-slavery, the sick children who can't get medical help, the tortured children in inhuman societies!
BUT NO! These IDIOTS want to make sure that more children are born, to make sure we never run out of victims. The hell with them once they are out of their mothers!
If they could rub their 2 neurons together, they might act with some thinking rather than all emotions.

Rosemary G:
"Keep religion out of politics and keep it where it belongs: In the privacy of your own homes..There is a well defined separation of Church and State in our Constitution and I would like to keep it that way. Otherwise, we will have a Theocracy which is no different than in the backwards countries in the rest of the World where religion rules every facet of your lives"

So very true! Our politicians all cater way too much to the gullible christian followers, but the republican party now more so than ever, it seems.
