Get Ready for Michael Vick’s Reality TV Show

Get Ready for Michael Vick’s Reality TV Show

If there’s anyone out there who isn’t sick of hearing about Michael Vick, they’ll be excited to hear he’s going to be starring in his very own eight-part documentary series on BET, worth about $600,000.

“I just want people to really get to know me as an individual,” Vick told the Los Angeles Times. “What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I’ve made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it’s not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up.”

The show, The Michael Vick Project, is scheduled to air next year and will review Vick’s life, from his troubled past through his arrest for running a dog fighting ring and his return to football, along with the toll it’s all taken on his relationships with friends and family.

“People never had a chance to know Mike Vick outside of football. They know me from the case and football, and that’s not fair to me, that’s not fair to my family, or fair to my fans. I want people to see what I’m all about,” said Vick.

Just so we’re all straight on this, Vick bankrolls a dog fighting ring where he abuses and kills dogs, gets caught and serves 18 months in jail, gets out and signs a multimillion dollar contract with the Eagles, gets his own television show and we’re supposed to feel bad because nobody understands him?

Did Vick already show is what he’s all about? Is he really even sorry? Or is he just sorry he got caught? Will you watch the show? Or are you sick of hearing about him?

Its good to voice your disgust of this man on this site, but its preaching to the choir. You're online if you read this. Go to the NFL and the EAGLES, click "contact us" and let them know that you will not financially support them OR THEIR SPONSORS as long as they support and glorify Michael Vick. Don't spew hatred on them or you will be discounted as an unstable opinion. Just encourage them to change their ways.

Money talks. The Eagles list their sponsors. Go to each one and tell them the same. when I got a response that the company doesn't get involved in "issues between the team and the players", I wrote back the following:

This is not a issue between a corporation and a player. This is about ethical responsibility. Since corporations in the US have "personhood", as a "person" you can take a stand. Many corporations do on many issues, such as not testing products on animals or being green.

There are many, many choices in [your field] -- you are but one. There are millions of pet owners in the US who feel very strongly about this issue. There are also many parents who do not want to see this kind of hateful violent behavior trivialized by glorifying Michael Vick. I'm sure you can make the connection.

Philadelphia Eagles and his difficult childhood featured. Give me a break, I had a bad childhood too but you don't see me beating animals. What a poor excuse of a man. And this is how TV and the NFL reward a coward and an animal abuser. What is wrong with these people? It just makes me sick. I will be deleting their TV station for my remote. BET sucks !!!!

Michael Vick need to contribute $$$$$$$$$$ to wipe out dog fighting rings in this country and enforce anti cruelty laws.
If he is truly changed person, he can do so much to improve our society for animals.
Michael Vick, prove you are changed person by your action and not just talking.

Here is my reason for agreeing with WE ARE ALL MICHAEL VICK.
Needless to say I am speaking about meat, dairy, egg lovers who never hesitate to consume animal products knowing there is shocking life long torture and cruel death of farm animals.
Please don't be fooled of humane meat, dairy and eggs because there is no such thing exist.
People who don't believe me need to learn about myth of humane meat, dairy and eggs.
As long as we keep consuming meat, dairy, eggs, we are responsible for most horrible farm animal cruelty!

People are in such denial, so defensive about eating animals. I believe that the desire for flesh, by most people, would cease if they saw the slaughter of living animals take place.
(Talk about your euphemisms. When did slaughterhouses become "meat packing plants",)
Indeed, I believe it should be a requirement of meat eaters to look into the eyes and witness the fear and trembling of a livin, terrified, fellow animal, about to be cruelly slaughtered.
You then, can see how far removed from that bloody carnage, to the neatly wrapped packages on the store shelves, shoppers would choose to be, and are.
Most of the people who casually toss the meat into their basket consider themselves to be compassionate and civilized.
When in fact they have just participated in a holocaust.

P.S.
How many of you visited Robert Cohen's www.notmilk.com site?

Michael Vick I do not believe you are sorry!! How can you expect us to watch you on TV so we can know how you felt. Who cares!? I don't care what how your family and friends feel/felt. You tormented and murdered living, breathing creatures. You are just sorry you got caught. God's creatures are just as important as His human creatures! I will not watch your show!

I'm all about giving second chances, but not for Michael Vick. If I believed that he was truly remorseful for the pain and suffering he caused to countless dogs, maybe I would consider forgiving him. From what I can tell, he is only sorry that he got caught.

I would NEVER watch a reality showed based on his life!

If Michael Vick really is remorseful about his crimes against animals then let him prove it by donating all profits from his reality show along with 20% of net income to charities that rescue ferals and provide medical care for animals that have been abused. Until he puts his money where his conscience he doesn't warrant trust or respect.
