Here’s an activism idea for you! Go caroling with some climate-themed songs.
There are three days left until Christmas. If you’re looking for something to do in the next few days to help stop climate change, consider getting a group of friends or family together to go door-to-door singing songs about the global climate crisis. Below are two great new version of old Christmas classics. We have Rudolph the Dying Polar Bear about the melting ice caps and 12 Days of Coal which takes Bank of America to task for supporting coal-fired power plants. Tomorrow I’ll be posting another round of songs. Enjoy!
Rudolph the Dying Polar Bear
Rudolph, the dying polar bear
wishes it would be cold.
And if you ever saw him,
it would be a miracle.
All of the other polar bears
have already gone extinct.
We never let poor Rudolph
have a decent chance to live.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
The world came to say:
“Rudolph with his ice so thin,
who’s gonna look out for him?”
Then all the people re-energized
with energy that’s carbon-free,
Rudolph the dying polar bear,
you’ll go down in history!
12 Days of Coal
On the 1st day of Christmas my true love said to me:
There’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 2nd day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:
2 blackened lungs
And there’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 3rd day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:
3 coal trucks
2 blackened lungs
And there’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 4th day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:
4 melting glaciers
3 coal trucks
2 blackened lungs
And there’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 5th day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:
5 coal silos
4 melting glaciers
3 coal trucks
2 blackened lungs
And there’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 6th day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:
6 paid off politicians
5 coal silos
4 melting glaciers
3 coal trucks
2 blackened lungs
And there’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 7th day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:

2 blackened lungs
And there’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 8th day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:

4 melting glaciers
3 coal trucks
2 blackened lungs
And there’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 9th day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:
9 flattened mountains
8 sludge-filled rivers
7 poisoned elementary schools
6 paid off politicians
5 coal silos
4 melting glaciers
3 coal trucks
2 blackened lungs
And there’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 10th day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:
10 asthmatic children
9 flattened mountains
8 sludge-filled rivers
7 poisoned elementary schools
6 paid off politicians
5 coal silos
4 melting glaciers
3 coal trucks
2 blackened lungs
And there’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 11th day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:
11 unemployed workers
10 asthmatic children
9 flattened mountains
8 sludge-filled rivers
7 poisoned elementary schools
6 paid off politicians
5 coal silos
4 melting glaciers
3 coal trucks
2 blackened lungs
And there’s no such thing as clean coal
On the 12th day of Christmas Bank of America gave to me:
12 destroyed communities
11 unemployed workers
10 asthmatic children
9 flattened mountains
8 sludge-filled rivers
7 poisoned elementary schools
6 paid off politicians
5 coal silos
4 melting glaciers

Thank you for sharing.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thankyou....
The 12 Days of Christmas song has been made into more parodies than you can count- this one is great.
Thanks for your comment, Nancy. But I don't think Climate Caroling is trampling on Christmas traditions. This is just a cute and fun way to raise awareness about global climate change.

Why do people feel the need to trample on the Christmas traditions? If you don't want to celebrate Christmas, don't. but why must they ruin it for the rest of us?
