GOP Asks “Who Let The Dogs Out” Regarding Democratic Women

96 comments GOP Asks “Who Let The Dogs Out” Regarding Democratic Women

We all know that the political rhetoric has been getting really, really ugly lately, but little has made that as clear as in Minnesota, where a local republican party unit is promoting a juvenile video with a “nah nah, our women are hotter than your women!” theme.

The video, linked below, has been around for a while.  A musical score of “She’s a Lady” plays, while a parade of young, pretty Republican women (or at least, women wearing American Flag apparel, if they can’t be visibly identified as a GOP star) scroll past, many in smiles, bikinis, and an occasional gun.

Next, the music switches over to a rousing “Who Let the Dogs Out?” while images of mostly known progressive women, largely overweight, old, growling, and many of them photoshopped, flash across the screen.  A few of them are identified as men, because telling women they look like men is apparently either funny or a meant to be belittling.

The video itself is silly, useless flame-fanning, meant to be passed around via stupid political forwards or as blog fodder for Hot Air and the like.  But when a local political unit goes as far as to put it on their home page, that’s something a little more serious.  And the obvious question is, does that district’s female GOP candidates endorse their party leadership’s “Hot or Not” views?

The Minnesota Independent has asked two female candidates for their thoughts, but so far has just received silence.

See the full video and tell me what you think about the heights of today’s political discourse.

It's demeaning to all women to think that beauty and/or brains are exclusively - or even primarily - associated with any political preference.

OBVIOUSLY written by a Republican.

This type of attack is totally inappropriate; especially when one considers that the attractiveness demanded by Hollywood is usually only found in Democratic women. It should be pointed out; however, that the new jest for life found amongst the right wing is largely due to the creation of conservative drugs like Cialis & Viagra.

"Should the GOP women condemn the video?" Yes, but I don't think they are that smart.

The whole thing is ridiculous as anyone could get a bunch of bimbos in bikinis and compare them to anyone else in an off moment or a photoshopped distortion.

This is infantile, teenage-type posturing and betrays the level of maturity of the current teapartyers taking over the classic Grand Old Party of my dad and grandad, which would be embarrassed by such puerile pranks. Dirty tricks, yes, both parties use 'em, but not this kiddie stuff.

As a matter of fact Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama and Nancy Pelosi are very stylish and dignified public servants who behave tastefully and dress distinctively. You may hate their politics but you'll never hear them swearing or yelling or spitting in public.

The teapartyers are for the most part a bunch of vulgar, loud-mouthed hatemongers who don't even know their American history very well and yell, spit and shoot bullets through windows at people they disagree with. Real classy citizens.

The GOP women might want to look inward first to see what justified the slander, then look across the congressional aisle . . . Woof Woof! then of course there is Sarah, hey snakes are a different subject! Aren't they?

Add me to the list of people who got a nasty "introduction" from Chazz Herns. Obviously he must think his opinion is the only one that matters and feels the need to insult anyone who does not agree with him. He claims not to be a Republican but certainly shares their traits. Hateful, ignorant and intolerant! He must have a very low self esteem if he feels the need to lash out at everyone who has an opinion different than his.

So they put the best pictures they can find of their 20-40 year old Republican women up against the worst pictures they can find of 50-80 year old Democratic women and then make fun of the older women because they don't measure up to their juvenile male fantasies of what women should look like. There are many ways to be beautiful and many ways to be ugly.

Well OK, there it is, Rep Woman beautiful, obedient and doctored just the way Reb men want them and that's OK, they have no problem being led around by their strong men, they don't have to worry about thinking for themselves they have their men to do that for them. They are Ladies. On the other hand Dem men like their women with a mind of their own and not afraid to speak it, they like them the way they are warts and all. This little film doesn't even upset me in the least, it's just another form of propaganda, kindda like that story about dropping XXXL condoms in Korea to scare the soldiers about the size of American men, doubt it worked any better than this childish film.
