James O’Keefe Voter Fraud Stunt Could Land Him In Jail

112 comments James O’Keefe Voter Fraud Stunt Could Land Him In Jail

Could it be? Did James O’Keefe finally pull a stunt his conservative apologists won’t even tolerate?

O’Keefe launched “Project Veritas” during the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday,  but don’t let the name fool you. Project Veritas was nothing more than an intentional attempt at in-person voter fraud. O’Keefe and his collaborators entered polling locations and fraudulently tried to obtain a ballot and vote in some sort of stunt to demonstrate a need for voter ID laws.

This, of course, violates both federal and state law and now has the Republican mayor of one New Hampshire town calling for O’Keefe’s arrest and felony prosecution.

In one case a poll watcher caught on to the scam and stopped a collaborator as he tried to vote. The man left before police arrived, but lucky for him, O’Keefe has the whole thing on tape.

In the debate over the need for voter ID laws O’Keefe’s stunt proves nothing and changes nothing. Yes, it is possible to obtain a ballot fraudulently if voter rolls are not updated–a problem simply fixed by asking voters to sign a roll when they receive their ballot. But it does not answer the question of who, other than O’Keefe, would risk a felony conviction and jail term to vote illegally?

No jail time for him he has a rich daddy and that card always wins. I guess voter fraud is a step up from him trying to lure women into a room full of sex toys.

The majority of people in this country who are eligible to vote don't even bother, yet on the other hand voter fraud is rampant? Or is it the fact they don't like they way some people vote, so they need to be excluded?

James O'Keefe pled guilty on May 26, 2010, in New Orleans to misdemeanor charges of entering federal property under false pretenses. They were accused of trying to tamper with the phones in Sen. Mary Landrieu's office in New Orleans. O'Keefe was sentenced to three years probation, 100 hours of community service and a $1,500 fine.
Project VERITAS, an organization founded by James O'Keefe has been granted nonprofit status by the IRS. When O'Keefe had filed for nonprofit status, some doubted the probability of it happening, due to his criminal record and public statement that he'd "do it again."
O'Keefe is still on probation due to a misdemeanor conviction and cannot travel outside of New Jersey. O'Keefe was seen in New Hampshire which is a violation of the terms of his probation, he must be arrested for such. The act of leaving New Jersey while under probation orders not to leave the state should negate the original plea deal from New Orleans and bring those charges back up to felony status. The IRS should now investigate the tax exempt status of O'Keefe's criminal organization and the DOJ should investigate "Project VERITAS" under the RICO act because their criminal activities have been committed in numerous states and investigate who the master mind behind this fraudulent scheme who paid O’Keefe $50,000 to arrange and carry out these crimes. How many more innocent lives are going to be allowed to be ruined due to the illegal activities of this group.

@Tina G....
I haven't need an ID to buy alcohol for some years now.. :=( So that's wrong. The only time you need ID for that is you look around the legal age. The last time I was asked for it, I was 53...not bad, but never anymore...

Speaking of law jeffy, you still paying the homeless to get beat up by your girl fighters so you can profit off their broken bones and concussions by selling the "fights" online? I have a link to the original article and to a page that shows some of the clips including jeffy geeting bare-assed spanked...sick... Mr Shefights should be going with Okeefe to where people don't cotton to people taking advantage of those who can't defend themselves, children, women and the homeless... maybe we should setup Mr Shefights with some of the prisoners he will be meeting and sell those online with the proceeds going to the homeless... My money is jeffy don't last one round in a real fight...

Voter fraud is when an individual votes illegally either in error or as an attempt to change the outcome of the vote. Election fraud is the wholesale act of either disenfranchising whole groups of voters by lillicit means (i.e. Sec of Sate Katherine Harris in the 2000 presidential election in Florida) or the mass changing of vote counts to sway an election (i.e.Sec of Sate Ken Blackwell in the 2004 presidential election in Ohio)

Well since it's the repukes who make claims that voter fraud is an issue and here comes some clown that commits voter fraud, I'd say toss the fool in jail and fine his sorry a$$.

I have no sympathy to those idiots who violate the laws of this nation.
