Justice, The 9-Year-Old Vegan (Video)

Watch this inspiring video of Justice, a nine-year-old vegan from birth, as he talks about his life and his relationships with animals and food.

How come it’s so obvious to a kid, but not to grown-ups?

Justice for animals!

Great video and I do believe that a child can be aware at this age. Almost shocking how many children are not aware of their food (watch Jamie Oliver in US schools). I was visiting a meat eating family. I am vegan. One of their daughters had 100 questions about my choice. I answered them along with her mom. The little girl is now vegetarian and the mom has returned to being vegetarian. The girl did not know of this but the mom said that after the conversation she felt marrying a meat eater was not a reason to give up being vegetarian. The intensity and intent of the girls questions were amazing. It had been going on in her head but she hadn't had an outlet.

Be truthful with your kids and see how they react. Do it without bias or guilt.

BTW I usually research my information after I read about a topic and then decide to post, some of you need to do the same. Your comments are based on old data. Also as with anything there are varieties and who am I to judge a "true vegan"? Not I, not you. ps. Brian M...you might want to look up where vegans get protein.

"If people didn't consume meat the world would be over-run by animals and there wouldn't be any room for humans. Even in the days of cavemen meat was eaten. It's natural to do so. Humans are carnivors by nature. Eating only veggies is not natural. Do as you please but don't criticize me for being human and doing what is natural for humans.
Parents, give your kids the foods they need to grow up healthy. Let them decide later what they want to eat. It's their choice, not yours."

Not a single thing you said is true.

"Even your docter will tel you this that meat hurts your colon and microvillies".............actually, MY doctor advises his patients to eat a reasonable amount of lean red meat, poultry and fish, specifically fatty cold-water fish such as salmon.

Interesting data from Jane R about being natural to eat human animals .......
Did you know that the immune system of humans is exactly same as that of HERBIVORES?
What's natural about having being meant to eat grass then you flesh?
Even your docter will tel you this that meat hurts your colon and microvillies (microvillies absorp food in the stomach) hence people age faster, gets ill, gain weight, etc."says Tim Byers, professor of Preventive Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver".

The meat is not small enough to be absorbed into your system thorough. You actually killing yourself every time by eating meat...... CHECK UR FACTS

Vegans might want to know about a vegetable called purslane. It's known as a wild food in much of Europe, but usually considered a weed in the US.

It's also the only vegan source of the more useful types of omega-3 (DHA and EPA). Microalgae from the colder parts of the ocean is the other. Human bodies are very inefficient at converting the ALA type (available from walnuts and flaxseed) into DHA and EPA (under 1% of it).

Some supermarkets sell it as one ingredient in mesclun salads; otherwise, they usually don't sell it. Farmers' markets are more likely to sell it.

Fair play to Justice. I wish I had his motivation. I am a vegetarian and would love to become vegan. He is very inspiring :)
