Mitt Romney is “‘pre-buttling” the State of the Union Address. Herman Cain is providing the Tea Party response. But Let Freedom Ring, a consortium of conservative activists and groups that says it operates “at the intersection of faith and politics,” has a television ad running on local D.C. CNBC and Fox stations that may have more impact as the “anti-SOTU” message than either man can offer.

Let's assume that Obama will be a one term President and the Republicans win the election. WE know that GWB caused most of this mess but you assert that Obama is the one to blame even for the stuff that happened or was decided on BEFORE he took over office. My question is, will you continue to blame Obama or will you set your crosshairs on whoever takes office like you did when Obama took office?
Discrimination cases are *never* trivial. Like with this Santorum nutter, He wants to tell all women that if they are pregnant by a rapist, they should just "make the best of a bad situation."
But Santorum doesn't have the right, not in the United States, to blithely with a twist of his tongue, destroy a woman's options in life. He can do that to the people who believe that way, but he doesn't have to right to do that to other people and he will just have to--make the best of that situation!
I am sorry that this beautiful woman lost her job. I hope she does not just have to make the best of a bad situation but that she will creatively make for herself a better situation. She sounds immensely articulate, educated, and intelligent.
There are too many people like Santorum right now who are blithely throwing away people's lives for reasons that are ridiculous, idiotic, and unlawful and just plain ignorant.. Everyone here should write to our Prez and tell him about this bright woman and tell him to give her a job. We can all do that at whitehouse.gov, select CONTACT.
Also I hope Mrs. Hart will be able to see that these people who live for greed, power, or for an afterlife, have been organizing for 60 years and that they will not go quietly. Those of us, who have no need to tell others how to live, have been expecting others to grow up as well and so we are coming from behind. I agree, we should vote for better in 2012. We should vote out all unprecedented obstructionist Right-wingers who have purposely done everything possible to sabotage the economy in a shameless political ploy to make President Obama look bad in the hopes that ignorant voters will reward them at the polls. The GOP/TP = traitors and voting GOP/TP = treason.
I don't get the point of the advertisement. Ms Hart said she voted for Obama four years ago and was waiting. Perhaps she voted in hope but didn't realise that what has been done over the previous eight years may take a whole lot longer to repair. In the meantime, the GFC and the problems of the EU and certainly the obstructionism and negativity of Congress over the last two years hasn't helped. I'm so sorry that she too has lost her job but so have so many others worldwide. Things will be so much worse under the "free enterprise", market driven(?) republicans. "Let Freedom Ring" sounds like a promotion for theivery, quackery and freedom from corporate and social responsibility.

What IS the corporate tax rate in the U.S.? In Canada it was just lowered from 16.5 % to 15 %

You are delusional but that is nothing new.
I think we should start putting tarriffs on all goods manufactured by American corporations abroad to be imported into our market that unfairly burden the responsible corporations who maintain their manufacturing base here. Wages are going up over there, transportation costs have to have gone throught the roof, now let's finish the deal with tarriffs on all products formerly "Made in America" starting with Mike C's products....and anything being shipped to Wally World...
