I don't see what these people have to complain about. Having these missles on their roof tops should make them feel safe. If an unauthorized plane enters the area of the Olympics it could be shot down. Would they prefer to let the unauthorized planes bomb anywhere they please? These planes would never make it to their building with the missles in place. They aren't planning to bomb housing buildings, but possibly the area the Olympics are held.
Would they prefer to let these planes fly free and bomb wherever they pleased?
I would feel safer with them on the roof of my building!!

Wow! Taking fear mongering to the next level. Why would there ever be a need for a missile on a London rooftop?? If, all the gods and goddesses forbid, there is trouble at the Olympics, what good would a missile do other than cause harm to Londoners??? Backasswards thinking.

TO ROGER...
To answer your question...yes I would....and yes...I HAVE....
I have lived in many countries where the army was a god send...so know what I am talking about!!!

You where not asked if you wanted the olympics on your door step??/

You will have now.....extra flats...3/4 of them for council flats....a large and beautiful parc....cleaner environment...better structures that all will be able to use and enjoyed.....
cleaner canal who now will be able to be use for pleasure or transport like it has been used for the building of the olympics...

Many 1000 of jobs where created for this and many..many people where trained so they will be able to get jobs more easily.....
and the list goes on and on.....

I have been involved ...in a very small way with the way olympics worked in several countries and i can honestly say that after ward many..many..many people have benefited from the hard work...experience...and vision of many...and Uk was the best organised and hard working people that I have ever met.

so YES this has been good for Uk...good for London...and good job wise for many people.

Have a good day and try to enjoy it.....it is the pride of any who have work there!

It's a bit much to say that people are pathetic and selfish for not wanting anti aircraft missiles on their roof, Berny. Would you? These people weren't consulted about having the Olympics on their doorstep and have no choice in the matter.

It's complete madness. Has anyone considered what would happen if a plane were shot down over the centre of a major city?

How clever.... First they cut down our Armed Forces and then they try to make us targets.
What next I wonder..........

These people are pathetic...selfish...and really dont care about their country!

These game will be a benefit for the uk as it will bring tourist not only to London but to the rest of the UK. Many countries wanted these games and it was good that the UK was chosen.
the one who object would be the first one to complaint IF they where an attack and blaming the government for not doing enough.....
As usual they want their cake and eat it...

LETS HOPE FOR ONCE THE COURT JUDGE WILL HAVE SOME SENSE AND IGNORE THEM!!

seriously?

I have a bad feeling about this one ...These days I don't think one country has enough resources to fight and prevent terrorists effectively - yet employing other nations increases the risk....

12:52AM PDT on Jul 13, 2012

That sounds awful...scarey too. Wow who's idea was that? And whats to stop whoever from going up to the roof and messing with it or worse.... ! think everyone would do a great deal better having rooftop gardens instead...........
