Calling all runners who love animals! On your mark… ready, set, go! Benefits from this year’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in Los Angeles will go to the ASPCA.
“The ASPCA is thrilled to be the benefiting charity for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon, a national event that combines endurance training, entertainment and giving,” said Kymberlee Setterberg, ASPCA senior manager of special events, in a press release.
“Through Team ASPCA, we offer animal advocates a way to engage in team activities with peers who are passionate about helping the ASPCA provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals nationwide.”
As part of the partnership, the ASPCA will grant $250,000 to Los Angeles-area animal shelters, including the LA Animal Alliance and Pet Connections.
The October 30 half marathon expects to attract over 15,000 runners and walkers from across the United States. The 13.1-mile course follows a loop around the downtown L.A. LIVE center and is one of several endurance events that Team ASPCA will participate in this year.

Many thanks to all who run! ASPCA does great work for animals (and people, too!)
Thanks shared on facebook.
A good reason to run!
Thanks for the article.
I do realize the ASPCA does some good, but I am still crushed since they took 6 of my cats that were very healthy last year because I had more than 3. I live in a 3 bedroom ranch house on 1/2 acre lot, am an RN, they were healthy, and as they left, they told me this probably would not have not have happened if I got rid of him--and pointed at my black boyfriend of 9 years. I was only allowed to keep 2 of my cats, and was fined $875! I donate to Triple R, for feral cats!
