Mitt Rounds Up Endorsements — But Not From Santorum

And that’s the show, folks.  If there was any doubt that the Republican party has decided to end the presidential race and endorse a winner, it has now been cast aside with likely nominee Mitt Romney’s new endorsement — Speaker of the House John Boehner.  Saying “Mitt Romney is going to be our nominee…I will be proud to support Mitt Romney,” Boehner has now giving the final party approval to the former governor.  Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, the last holdout, is expected to announce his endorsement soon as well.

The move signals the end of the primary campaign, even though there are still contests yet to be won and competitors yet to drop out.  But it’s not always so easy to let go.  Although former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum has dropped out after engaging in a surprising and highly competitive dark horse candidacy, he’s yet to fully remove himself from the scene, both refusing to endorse Romney as likely nominee or even telling potential voters not to vote for him in upcoming elections. In a question and answer event, when asked if he would unsuspend his campaign and if there was any reason people shouldn’t vote for him, Santorum replied,  “Well, I would just say this. This best thing they could do is stay tuned. We really are serious about making sure that the issues that we brought up during this campaign are continued going forward…As far as who you vote for for…it’s really up to you as to who you support in the upcoming elections.”

Romney appears to have won the establishment.  Now, how to get Santorum supporters on his side?

I notice that when things didn't go the way Santorum wanted them to go, he took his basketball and went and decided he wouldn't talk to anyone.

"Mitt Rounds Up Endorsements — But Not From Santorum"....

And I guess that's somehow important and significant huh?

If he runs around telling his supporters not to vote for Romney, he's going to put the rubber stamp on his idiocy! His supporters are Republicans - they will vote for Romney and Santorum will leave them with a bad taste in their mouths as far as he's concerned!

So don't hold out too much hope Robin. You know what happened the last time someone promised us "hope", don't you?

Does Boehner have any other expression than "hang-dog"?

The photo here with this article looks like prayers for Mitt and nothing for Santorum. Mitt will need all the prayers he can get, as I doubt he truly has a fat chance.

OMG, why do they keep showing this awful same old photo of J. Boehner(R), or is it that he is always looking towards heaven for answers and resolve to America's woes. I suppose the Republican party needs all the prayers they can get, for they have no clue on how to run the country.
