Here are two words I never expected to write: Santorum sweeps.
That’s right, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum swept Tuesday’s caucuses in Missouri, Minnesota and was projected to win Colorado. So, where to start.
Missouri, Minnesota and Colorado all have a strong evangelical base, so in many ways Santorum is the only real choice and wins here shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Like Iowa, these are true culture-warrior voters and that is the Santorum base.
The real story is how unpopular the front-runner Romney remains among those evangelical voters. Romney won Minnesota in 2008 and this time around came in third behind Rep. Ron Paul. Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty endorsed Romney but couldn’t push his man past Ron Paul. I told you Minnesota Republicans do not like Pawlenty.
Right now Rick Santorum has won as many contests as Mitt Romney. I’m going to let that sink in for a minute. If this keeps up the nomination won’t come from a convention as much as from a bloodletting.
Thankfully we’ve got three weeks until the next Republican contest. Frankly I think we could all use the break.
If the prolonged Republican primary is good news for Democrats, that’s tempered some with the news that former Sen. Bob Kerrey won’t run to replace Sen. Ben Nelson (D) who is retiring this year. Kerrey would have been a great candidate and now leaves Democrats struggling to find a replacement making this seat a likely flip to Republicans.

+ add your ownI don't see evolution being disproved, not to mention evolution is not a political ideology it has nothing to do with politics. It's a theory of science, theory meaning it has the highest standing in science. Evolution doesn't say anything bout how we should live our lives, religion however tries to therefore mixing religion in politics is counter-producitve to both political platforms. Neither wants the government telling people how to live their lives.
Patrick - I'm well versed on the Constitution. I find it hard to believe ANY Democrat would like Santorum because he is an extremist and absolutely is not in support of womens rights. Democratic women are very protective of the female species and will not allow any man to dominate or strip them of their rights and he has proudly proclaimed he would do whatever possible to overturn the Constitution. I understand very well Darryll and BTW; how's your other brother Darryll?
Hay Patrick,So, going by your thinking and what evolution says is right, why is the world getting so much worse, there are more wars, murders, child abuse, suacides, ect, everything that is happening disapproves evolution no matter how you try to twist it
I am crossing my fingers that Santorum will get the nomination. Aside from a few 'submissive wives, and tea party nut cases, Women will not vote for that religious right wing nut case radical. Santorum not only wants to outlaw abortion for ANY reason, he wants to outlaw contraception. It's too crazy to be true, but it is. Most men will not vote for him either. No birth control, No Sex!
Obama is the smartest man in the room, we know. Now we know he is the only sane one running for President.
Darryll G. Evolution is NOT a religion. And it HAS been proven with science, the existence of God hasn't.
in reply to Lee, why don't you read the constitution before you prove you don,t understand it and yes, my wife is a democrate and yes she likes Santorum
Darryl; are we supposed to give a hoot that your wife likes Sanatorium and that she's a Democrat (sure she is Darryl). No Democrat likes Sanatorium. And your spin on the Constitution is interesting. Actually, we don't want religious doctrine interfering with government. Our founding fathers also stated there shall be separation of church and state and yet the Catholic church believes there pedophile priests crimes are above the law, and in fact, 'God' only know how the hell many priests still have not been outed. These religions are losing their hold on their congregations so it won't be long before church's around the country will be closing down because of lack of business.
Well put, Mark. Maybe he could also sweep the offal from his campaign trail.
Star to Melody.
Darryll, learn to spell before you expect any of us to take your already ignorant, homophobic rants seriously. You're perpetuating the stereotype of the uneducated, conservative redneck.
