Late last week, families associated with Parents for Occupy Wall St. staged a march in New York City to decry police brutality toward OWS protesters.
Children created and decorated 5,000 paper hearts–each one representing a peaceful protester who was arrested on behalf of the Occupy Wall Street movement in the three month period leading up to the march.
The plan was to deliver the hearts to City Hall, where Mayor Bloomberg could see them and think about the statement of violence his “army” has made to children around the world.
No one could have expected the cruel manner in which the children and their parents would be received. Watch the video below to see what happened and think about what this teaches our children about the value of peace.

Why did that woman have to ask those people to help her? Why were they just standing there like a couple…
This is probably the most punitive country in the world. It would be wonderful if our legal system would…

+ add your ownSteven B. .... I could use $95,944.69 per person, as I am also a person. lol
I saw the dismay on those children faces.
The 1% yest lost more people that would side with them.
The world is for all the lives on it. Not just for the 1% that thinks they own it.

Thanks to Ms. Buczynski for the timely and moving article.

Thank you for the astute analysis of how deeply wrong and troubling the state of monetary policy has continued to lean in the era of this, the fourth iteration of private central banks in the US, The Federal Reserve System.
Bottom line, I submit that there is a fundamental disconnect between the founding principles of the country best represented by the notion that the government exists to serve the people and most certainly not the other way around.
We find ourselves in a state where citizens' Natural Rights are increasingly infringed upon in almost every conceivable manner.
Well it is at least an improvement over having the National Guard shoot protestors like during some incidents in the 60's and 70's and throughout much of US history. Also NY City's incompetence with dealing with protestors will likely only strengthen the movement as seeing law enforcement act like goons tends piss people off and motivate even larger protests.

Federal Reserve Bank Bailout Since Bushs Economic Crash of 2008: $29,616,400,000,000 While Main St drowned the Federal Reserve bailed out Wall St buddies @ $29,616,400,000,000
$29,616,400,000,000 divided by 308682000 people (the 99%) equals $95,944.69 per person
$95,944.69 per person would have gone a long ways towards easing the pain caused by the Wall St Banks and the Fed.
I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country.-Thomas Jefferson 1812

I swear every time you post your IQ has slipped 10 points, which is said because your shoe size was probably larger than your IQ to begin with...
Quit being such an apologist, the cops could see through the rows of hearts and why would they need a clear visual sight line? To sight in with their pepperspray guns on the kids and their parents? How's the job situation going? Weren't you saying anyone who was not working either did not want to work or just wanted to live (hah) off social services??? OWS is protesting a system that bailed out banks not only here in America but around the world not just with the $700 billion TARP funds but a total of $29.616 trillion over the last 3 years. $29.616 trillion to bail out the people on Wall St who caused the crash but not a penny to bail out Main St??? $29.616 trillion so the people on Wall St who caused the crash can still get their multi-million dollar bonuses but the people who lost everything... well that is their own fault right? Yeah right John...something ain't right there... and if you think it is then something ain't right with you...

The truth is that most police are arrogant thugs who became police officers just so that they could bully people around. Yes their are good cops who are honest but most are just bullies and thugs who beat up on poor people and protect the rich. Why are none of the Wall Street crooks who made millions ripping off hard working Americans arrested. The answere is because the police are hired thugs who protect the real criminals, our politicians and corporate ceo's who are making millions polluting and destroying this earth.
what idiots... they do know that THEY are the ones who are going to have to clean the mess up, right??
what's next, are they going to pepper spray/ arrest the little kids, too??
what has gotten into this world?...
truely heroic those cops, standing up against kids, armed to the teeth with paper hearts.
This was horrible!
