While the rest of the world scurries to waste its hard-earned money on low-quality gifts sold by multi-national corporations, Occupy Wall Street will embrace the real spirit of the season: sharing.
Although the central occupation at Zuccotti Park has been unjustly evicted by Mayor Bloomberg, the movement still thrives and grows in New York City.
On December 18th, OWS will host a collaborative event to foster community and demonstrate the viability of alternative currency economies. The Holiday Bazaar and Skill Share event is open to all who would like to learn more about the OWS movement, support local artisans and crafters, explore alternative currencies, and pick up a new skill along the way.
Attendees will choose from a variety of workshops, in addition to enjoying live music, movies, and a holiday dinner provided by the Occupy Wall Street Kitchen.

If you can’t attend the bazaar, but would like to support the OWS Sustainability Working Group’s goal of educating the public about alternative economies, please consider donating to their crowdfunding campaign.
