Sexual Activity Too Early Can Lead To Miniature Sex Organs

Sexual Activity Too Early Can Lead To Miniature Sex Organs

To the abject joy of parents everywhere, you now have a scientific reason to tell your child to hold back on the hanky-panky — at least until they’re old enough to handle it.

Researchers at Ohio State University found that hamsters who were exposed to sexual activity early — the equivalent age to human adolescence — had noticeable differences from hamsters who were not exposed to the same sort of recreational pursuits and were instead kept busy with a routine of piano lessons, babysitting jobs and early curfews. OK, maybe I made up that last part.†But the study did compare sexually active hamsters to non-active hamsters.

The hamsters who were sexually active at an early age did show more signs of depressive behaviors and auto-immune disease later in life, as well as smaller body masses and reproductive tissues. In other words, sex too early isn’t exactly harmless.

While your average amorous teenager is perhaps not going to take warnings of depression or autoimmune disease in hamsters seriously, the warning of shrinking their sex organs might. If there’s anything that can get through to an amorous 16-year-old male, it might be the threat of permanently messing with his junk. Encouraging teens to wait is a good thing: while the rates of teenage sexual activity are decreasing, still, teenage pregnancy, abortion, sexually transmitted diseases and other social issues are still prevalent and present, leaving teenagers with their lives potentially changed for good. So put this one in your parenting toolbox, just in case you need it later.

I don't know as much about a woman's development, but generally speaking our culture tends to value smaller reproductive organs in women (I am not talking about the breasts here) so even if the study were true it wouldn't dissuade anyone. If they are talking about breasts it would probably make some women who have developed larger breasts than they like more likely to be sexually active.

.......

Something else to consider:

In the 90's the United States approached the issue of teen pregnancy through education programs. Then under the bush regime the nation approached the issue through abstinence. A comparison of the two periods of time show that under an abstinence program sexual activity among teens are much lower than under an education program, but the overall teen pregnancy rates are much higher under an abstinence program. What this means is that abstinence programs do succeed in limiting sexual activity, but because of the methods employed those who choose to become sexually active anyway are not as equipped. Additionally even those who are under an abstinence program and follow it as teens eventually become sexual. At which point those who did not get a proper sexual education were much more likely to have unplanned pregnancies which can even be a problem for a married couple.

Taken together women have a much lower high school and college graduation rate as a result of abstinence programs due to increased birth rates.

The opposite is true. Sexual activity causes an increased release in hormones. If there is any truth to this story is is that in males there is a greater testosterone when sexually frustrated than sexually satisfied, but there is a bigger impact on the size than that. You can tell the potential size of an adult male by looking at three visible signs:

1: Vein size. An individual with larger veins has a greater blood flow (on average) than an individual with smaller veins. Increased blood flow means greater size.
2: Girth and muscle tone. Generally speaking, an inch on the gut is size off the length. This is not universally true, but is a good indicator.
3. The size of the ring finger in comparison to the pointer finger. The more testosterone an embryo is exposed to the longer the ring finger tends to be in relation to the pointer finger. Testosterone levels go up and down throughout even a given day, but on average the longer the ring finger the higher an individual's testosterone levels tend to be. This is of course because of testosterone levels in the womb and have nothing to do with sexual activity, but a higher average testosterone level means a larger size as an adult. Also: "A Canadian researcher has found that the amount of testosterone men were exposed to in the womb affects how well they perform in financial trading jobs that require quick reaction times."

Just whe we thought it couldn't get any more stupid- it did. SHEESH. Kids have always been, and will always be curious about sex. Boys( except for the shy ones`0 will forever be trying to get into the pants of just about anyone...for that matter, girls either WILL or will NOT play the games the big girls play......the best thing for parens to do is not to use sex or puberty as a bogeyman- tell them what to expect in plenty of time, and in a sensible matter-of-fact way, and when things start to happen, it won't be a horrible shock.
Now 74, when `i got my period aged 10, i was NOT given a smack round the face as were so many girls at that time- `i was given a sanitary towel and belt, and told what to do with it. End of. No problem- because my sensible mother didn't make it into one.

I think using this argument to hold young people off sex is rather silly.

Well, maybe the boys may slow down, because they don't want small parts... lol.

But anyway, I'm not really buying this. Granted we need to bring teen pregnancies down, and limit more STD's, etc, but I think we need more info.

When I was a teenager my best friend told me more sex = a bigger penis. Sorta like building muscle. He did have a big one.
