Earlier this week President Obama placed conditions on whether he will attend the climate conference in Copenhagen next month. He said he will attend “if I am confident that all the countries involved are bargaining in good faith and we are on the brink of a meaningful agreement and my presence in Copenhagen will make a difference in tipping us over the edge, then certainly that’s something that I would do.”
Obama said that he has to ensure that “over the next three weeks, pressure is continually applied on our teams and everybody else’s teams to actually create a framework that people can sign off on.”
Obama thinks it is unlikely the Senate will have “acted on climate legislation before Copenhagen.” He added that he thinks the key partners of the U.S. recognize “that not every ‘t’ is going to be crossed and ‘I’ dotted in the next three weeks.” Instead, the participants at Copenhagen should focus on creating “a set of principles, building blocks, that allow for ongoing and continuing progress on the issue.” Obama said he is confident that can be achieved.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown confirmed this week that he will attend Copenhagen. He is the first world leader to confirm his attendance. He announced in September he would attend, and issued a challenge for other world leaders to attend. In Newsweek he wrote, “Securing an agreement in Copenhagen will require world leaders to bridge our remaining differences and seize these opportunities.”
While speaking at the bi-monthly National Climate Seminar, New York Times writer, Andrew Revkin said about Obama attending Copenhagen, “He can’t not go.” He pointed out that although the conference is mainly a ministerial meeting where presidents only show up when there is something to sign, Obama “seems to reflect for people a sense of possibility, so maybe there’s something that could come from it.”

+ add your ownI agree with Obama , there are people more deserving. I would hope you get the award for achievement not rhetoric.
yes, of course he should go!!
Yes,
Obama should go.
There are two forces working in this world one is Evil and the other is of Good. Satan and God!
They work behind our American government. Pulling the strings. Everyone needs to do alot of research on this. As i said you can go to Youtube.com and type in "Illuminati".
I've also heard that the Illuminati runs the music industry and alot of rappers talk about them especially in their lyrics. They started this Secret Society back in the 1700's. Their agenda is to make this a "One World Order" They are working for Satan.
Yes. The people who want a One World Order are working behind the scenes and are called the "Illiminati". They are the Elite Families of America. Families like the Rothchilds, Rockafellows and so forth. Go to youtube.com and type in the Illuminati.
Sure, President Obama should go to Copenhagen, not only for what he can contribute but also because of what he can learn.
I note that some are concerned that the requirement of reducing harmful emissions may lead to a reduction in the profits of businesses. However those businesses have made their profits at the expense of damaging the environment so it is only right that they should now accept the loss entailed in repairing the damage that they have inflicted.
Depends Copenhagen Sounds like A very interesting place to meet If i was the president I think i might want to find something else to do like going to an American sponsered event.
Crunchy, what?
Don't go bonkers just because someone asks you what are you DOING about your belief regarding the 'new world order' conspiracy.
Because I've yet to see a single NWO'er DO anything about it, except blow about it, and use trite little meaningless sayings such as 'wake up and smell the coffee!' 'wake up sheeple!"
