Tweet @WhiteHouse to Pledge to Save 4 Million Kids With Vaccines

Are you on Twitter? Do you want to help make a difference in the health and lives of people around the world by sending a message to the White House?

All you have to do is go here to tweet about a campaign sponsored by ONE. Here’s the message you can send straight to the White House:

@WhiteHouse, got plans on June 13? Why not pledge to save 4m kids w/vaccines? Plz respond!

To send it, just go to here. Once you send your tweet, you’ll see it pop up on an interactive map of the US.

ONE is, as its website says, a “grassroots advocacy and campaigning organization that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa, by raising public awareness and pressuring political leaders to support smart and effective policies and programs that are saving lives, helping to put kids in school and improving futures.”

Noting that “vaccines are the best buy in public health,” ONE needs you to help get the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) proper funding at its June 13th pledging conference. Doing so could help to save the lives of 4 million children in 5 years by making vaccines for pneumonia and diarrhea available. These two diseases are preventable, yet they are “two of the biggest killers of children under five around the world” and, indeed, “kill more children than HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria COMBINED.”

So please don’t wait: Get tweeting and get the message out to the White House that vaccines save lives!

But are they REALLY safe? Sadly, the USA has a track record of deciding some product is unsafe or deadly, and do we discontinue making it? NO! We market it in 3rd world countries!

I'm suspicious of the effects of the vaccines. Care2, this is one area I am wary of supporting.

I AM SHOCKED THAT CARE2CAUSES WOULD ADVOCATE THE MURDER OF THESE AFRICAN BABIES WITH THIS POISON... C2C, DO U THINK THAT PPL DONT KNOW ABOUT THE VACCINATIONS, WELL, WE DO!
HOW DARE U INSULT US, I WOULD NEVER SUPPORT THE DEPOPULATION UNDER "AGENDA21" OF ANY PPL.
HOW DARE U NOT INVESTIGATE SIMPLE TRUTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Continued)

These people are not from another planet. They are our brothers and sisters and you can be sat amongst them in less than 12 hours if you can bear the TSA molestations at the airport.

They are victims of economic genocide. Please don’t think they are less intelligent or resourceful than us. Go and live among them as I have done and you will see they are even more capable than most of us. Considering the economic environment, their ability to survive is awe inspiring.

Domestic animals are rare in most other counties. To have dung one needs cows. I never saw one single cow in the Townships in Africa and there were very few in the slums of India either.

Manuela; the only conspiracy is that all vaccines are safe. Listen to the experts who are not getting paid for their opinions instead of those that are.

Colleen; All we have to do is end the ‘Federal’ Reserve private banking scam and the world will be rich enough so that we can all have plenty.

The Rockefeller family alone have more wealth than half the rest of the entire world. It is not we that should make sacrifices as much as them. But that is another story.

To answer your question hypothetically if there was not enough to go around, (it is clear that there is actually plenty if we share) then yes – if some of us will die of hunger then we all should go hungry. Even if I have to share my house with 50 people I will share it. I cannot allow a child to sleep outside in the cold, insect infested night while I have room in my home.
I could not eat heartily while a child dies of hunger/exposure/malaria outside in the street. Could you?

30,000 to 50,000 children die each day in the world from poverty.

I don't use twitter, but these comments... People are conspiracy theory crazy!

how would we get these people to modrenize? should we abandon our own for them? those who want to change their lifestyle to cure their ills.

would you go poor to build them real houses, and have a revolution in making real villages. I thought there were people who went and taught them how to irragate properly, or have real septic tanks or sewer systems? do they really need their current lifestyle if it is killing them? teach them how to make pictrureesesque suburbs and not innoculate?

are there areas with this, but yet (somehow) poor health/health care, or do they go hand in hand? living in filth makes filth health, some parts of the world, don't they use dung to build houses? I think they sterilize them though. but not here? http://www.indiadivine.org/audarya/ayurveda-health-wellbeing/35710-good-uses-cow-dung.html
