Change is going to happen whether you believe in it or not. Perhaps it is time to move beyond non-productive political carping at each other and into livable actions.
Sonya from Permaculture Pathways in Queensland, Australia talks about how her local politicians and media get locked into mono-thinking when there is more than one answer to a complex problem:
Victoria Linssen’s video on The Permaculture Garden: Restore Your Yard, Reclaim Your Life shares a living example of a possible model of change.
I don’t want to present permaculture as a simplistic answer to the multiplicity of problems we face. I would be suspicious of anyone making that claim. Think of this video as an idea generator.
I do think we can look at various nature-focused systems of living that could be adapted to our current lifestyles.

Sadly the government is attacking our local farmers and ranchers so you can be sure they will get around to attacking this as well. Watch Farmegeddon and you will be shocked to see farmers and ranchers being attack by what amounts to SWAT teams.

1 comment says what do you do in winter?
Permaculture is tailored for where it is so varies everywhere.
The basic principles are sound
but permaculture is a 'threat' to monocropping
and to centralised multinational food production and distribution corporations.
As these artificial entities (corporations & govts) fullfill all of the criteria
and therefore test positive as being clinically psychopathic
that is a good thing that permaculture is the cure.
Having witnessed the development of permaculture in the Rainbow Region of northern NSW in Oz i can verify it's effectiveness as a solution to the problem of human environmental
vandalism.
Highly recommend working with nature instead of raping and pillaging it!
Cheers
