Hilary is a Campaign Manager for Care2.com. Her
lifelong concern for animals and the environment spawned during summers spent on her family farm in New Castle, Indiana. She grew up surrounded by animals and planned on becoming a veterinarian. When she went off to college at Stanford University, she changed her mind and
focused on Psychology, where she could focus on attitude change, social influence, and people's emotions. While working on a grizzly bear research project in West Yellowstone, the connection between psychology and the environmental movement became clear. She believes that environmental change involves altering people's attitudes about the environmental movement and animals. After receiving her Masters in Psychology, she taught Social Psychology at Stanford, and searched for a job in which she could focus on environmental change. And, along came Care2. At Care2, she finally found she could help make the world greener, through millions of other people, one click at a time.
Hilary enjoys backpacking, snowshoeing, playing soccer, running, swimming,
vegetarian cooking, art, HTML design, bicycling, and spending time with
her Springer spaniel, baby, and husband in her personal time.
