"When Cole found out that Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) was
cutting down trees in wetland forests in his home state of North Carolina, he took a small group of his friends to KFC headquarters to speak to KFC executives and deliver over 6,000 petition letters. They urged the company to be a leader in environmental business by using more post-consumer recycled paper in their packaging," according to Lindsay Spangler, intern at Care2Causes. The petition letters were written by children from kindergarten age up to sixth grade.

KFC execs gave Cole and his friends vouchers to buy food at KFC, but made no changes.
Let's stand with Cole on this issue. He and his friends are the future, and this is what they are asking of us. Since 6,000 petitions didn't induce KFC to make any changes, I suggest we send them another 10,000 or more.
KFC, stop cutting North Carolina's wetland forests for your packaging and move to post-consumer recycled products.
As parents, consumers, environmentalists, and people who share the planet with you, we are disappointed with the glib response you made to Cole Rasenberger and the 6,000 children who also petitioned you. GIving them $5 food vouchers was not sufficient.
Perhaps you will listen to adults.
We would like you to stop cutting wetland forests for your fast-food packaging, and start using more post-consumer recycled packaging.
