We support drug store AIDS testing!

The Centers for Disease Control are currently test driving a program that will make it much, much easiser to be tested for HIV. Atlanta area drug stores will offer AIDS tests that cost little and are done in a short time. The convenience of drug store tests could mean that thousands of HIV patients could get diagnosed in time for effective treatment. Drug store testing could mean an added twenty years on somebody's life. These convenient and affordable tests will also reduce the risk of unknowningly infecting other people.

Tell the CDC you support drug store testing for AIDS!

We the undersigned thank you for your pilot program allowing AIDS testing in Atlanta-area drugstores. We fully support this program and hope that you will implement it nationwide.

Drugstore AIDS testing is important for early detection of a disease that is very treatable if diagnosed early. The ease and affordability of such tests will certainly encourage more people who have been exposed to HIV to get tested. Some people will find the drugstore less frightening than a clinic.

In short, we applaud this common sense measure. Please implement it nation wide!
