Share Life-Saving Skills to Beat Poverty

Every minute a child in Africa dies from malaria.

But together, we can stop this. Malaria is both preventable and curable. With the right skills and knowledge, children across Africa could get the treatment they need to beat this disease. You can help make sure these life-saving skills exist.

Unlike so many other children, two year old Cynthia beat malaria. This was thanks to VSO's unique approach that enables volunteers to share life-saving skills with people and communities who need it most. Volunteers just like Briony, who spent two years in Malawi training nurses like Agnes on how to diagnose and treat malaria. Because of her VSO training, Agnes was able to save Cynthia's life.

Like all of VSO's volunteers, Briony's work will keep on making a difference because nurses like Agnes will go on to share their life-saving skills with others. And with more available skills, more children like Cynthia will survive malaria.

Whether treating malaria, improving education or supporting sustainable livelihoods, with your support, together we can find lasting solutions to poverty.

Please sign this pledge if you support sharing life-saving skills with the people who need it most.
