Reinstate Florida's budget for disabled people!

As of March 30th, Florida Governor Rick Scott has implemented a 15% budget cut for Disabled people! Resulting in a devastating domino effect of Adult day Training programs closing, residential group homes shutting down and many people jobless. Not to mention thousands of disabled youths and adults with no place to go. Alot of person's with disabilities don't understand what's going on, and a lot of them can't even ask the initial question, WE ARE SUPPOSE TO TAKE CARE OF THEM!!!! This budget cut is absolutely ridiculous and catastrophic, funds need to be reinstated immediately!!

And, in the midst of these disgraceful actions, Scott has the nerve and the audacity to participate in a Special Olympics race, and smile while saying how that organization is so important in helping the disabled in society! How dare he! Scott's spokesman, Brian Burgess, said the governor doesn't want to harm the developmentally disabled. But, he said, the state has put off tough choices for too long and now the bill has come due.

THE BILL HAS COME DUE!? Are you kidding me? He was quoted saying that later on this would help "the neediest" ... Don't they all deserve equality and the funds for a meaningful day and life?

It is high time that we stepped up as caring human beings and took a stand, especially for those who are unable to do it themselves!! Developmentally disabled people are the most genuine caring individuals I have ever had the wonderful opportunity to be around and work with, they would give you the shirt off their back, the last penny in their pocket and the last bite of food for a week. Please help me in this fight to do the same for them, its just a signature but for them it's their life back.

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION AND LETS MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!
We the undersigned, are outraged. To cut the already suffering budget of disabled people is inexcusable. You have no idea the affects of this. Why? Because you never asked, Governor. You never gave us, the ones who work and serve,  the right to speak for them, or for these individuals to speak for themselves. Many staff who already made minimum wage are now jobless. Person's with disabilities who can't even understand all of this, are unknowingly devastated, some homeless and many in shambles. We are so dissapointed in this decision, Governor Scott. We, as human beings, as caregivers, rely on you to make better decisions, and this was not one of them. The funding for disabled people absolutely must be reinstated. You as their Governor need to provide and protect these wonderful people with meaningful days, and safe warm homes to return to. Due to this budget cut, Companion services have ceased and no longer can we monitor and help the ones who need assistance remembering their medication, shower or even to eat. What are they suppose to do, Governor Scott? Please tell us, because our hands are tied.

Regretfully, this budget cut, doesn't affect you, one iota.

We understand this letter may seem harsh. Governor we  thank you for taking the time to read this. Try to understand where all of these emotions are coming from. Put yourself in their shoes. Help us help them.

Please reinstate the funding for people with disabilities, and give them back their life.
