My nieghbor has a pitbull/lab mix service dog who has been taken away from her by the police and is going to be put down. He is only five years old and is my little boys best friend. He was trained as a service dog and helps her with everything. She is sick with fibromyalgia and lupus and this dog has saved her life a number of times. It all started a few months ago when these teenagers broke into my nieghbor's house and punched her 14 year old son and threatened to violate her. She started to put the dog out front during the day to ward off further attacks. The police came and did nothing. We come from a small town and everyone knew where the suspects were the police chose not to do anything about it. Then her son got into a fight about 3 weeks ago where he was accused of pulling a knife on another boy and spent the weekend in jail, on his first offense. Then about 8 days ago, Buddy, inside waiting for everyone to get home and then they finally got there he was soo excited. A politician came to the door and Buddy jumped on him to greet him, and scratched him with his claw. The police came and took the dog away. What do we do? Anyone have any suggestions. E-mail me at
