Turtle is the representative of marine life in the sea. It is such a beautiful creature in the sea. We all know that turtle is drawn to extinction and yet its eggs are collected, and sold in market to locals or tourist who visit the island that turtles used to nest. It is due to the traditional saying that turtle eggs cure asthma and promote male virility.
Mortality rates of turtle eggs are high due to crabs. High mortality rates of hatchlings , juveniles and adult turtles are due to the predation of sharks, birds and big fish, trash on beaches and pollution from human. Now they have to face another treat! TRADING OF THEIR EGGS!!! Many types of turtles feed on jellyfish which is a big threat for fisherman, divers or whoever swim in the sea. Thus, it is so important to ensure the surviving of these beautiful creatures. Besides, our next generation would have the chances to see these creatures in real but not through media.
We can live without turtle eggs, but turtle cannot live without being protected. Please do not let turtles disappear from the world. Regret makes no cures!!
