Have you won any awards for your artwork? I won a lot of awards during my high school years, but I havenít entered many competitions since. I really just enjoy creating art and sharing it with people rather than worrying about whoís a better artist.

Why the interest in floral photography? Although I have been photographing floral scapes lately, my main interest is in painting animals and sculpting stone into non-objective forms. I enjoy creating animal works because of a close bond I feel with animals. I like stone because Iím a geology freak and collecting and carving the stone connects me to the earth.

How many years have you been pursuing photography? 15 years or so, since I was a young teen.

What year were you born and where? 1970 in San Jose, California.

Do you do this full time, and if not, what else do you do? Iím creating full time now - painting, printmaking, drawing, stone sculpting, wire sculpting, snapping pictures (most of which end up as part of my paintings), or writing poems.

Has anyone been a particular inspiration to you in pursuing art? For painting, my absolute hero is Wayne Thiebaud; for sculpture, Alexander Calder.

What is your goal with your artwork? Honestly? Fame is what Iím after... and more money wouldn't hurt!

Did you ever have any formal training in art? I studied for three years under Glen Streeter (who was a student of Wayne Thiebaud).

What are the most compelling reasons to visit your site? To see my other many creations and what I look like.
