| The mother bear with cubs is a real photograph with a change of background. We had captured the sow because she was malnourished and unable to deal with 4 cubs (the 4th is partially hidden in the pic.). We temporarily separated her from her cubs and cared for the cubs at a different facility. After she was able to put some weight back on we tranquilized her and put her in a culvert type mobile trap. We took her to a remote area for release and then put the 4 cubs in the trap with her and waited til she "woke up". I took the photograph just minutes before she was fully conscious in the trap. Moments later the entire family group walked out of the trap and into the forest. I decided to change the background with my computer for a nicer appearance. |
