# 5Samba Wamba
I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Poland and she showed up one day at work, pregnant. She was probably only 7 months old and gave birth to two kittens, the first of which died. I found a home for the second kitten and kept the mother cat for my own. My boss's nine year old daughter came up with the name Samba Wamba, after Simba from the Lion King and the band Chumba Wumba. She was quite ill when I adopted her, so we had to take long trips (2 1/2 hours on 3 trains) to the city to visit the vet. She learned to walk on a leash and loves to travel. In the car, I harness her in and roll down the window so she has enough room to stick her head out the window and have her ears flap in the wind. She is also quite a talkative cat and responds to both Polish and English. She loves to play with children and be social... you can often find her at the pool looking for children to play with her or for people to talk to. She also loves going to visit other homes - she is quick to feel right at home wherever she goes. She also has a fondness for water and loves to hop into the tub or shower. I may even attempt to take her kayaking one of these days!
# 6Bandit
Adopted by us from a farmer lady and his name fits him to a T as anything he can put in his mouth and run away with he does. He is very much loved though.
# 8Thelma - bad girl! Looking for a new home
Thelma is one of a litter of five born outside and rescued by GRASP. Feral turned friendly, she awaits adoption from my home with her brothers, Kramer and Joshua. Thelma loves to curl up on you at night and purr very loudly, once she gets to know you. At first she is a bit skittish. Her tail has a kink, possibly from being closed in a door.
# 10Tesla
Tesla's full name is Admiral Tesla Puss-Puss (long story!). She is ten months old and still a very hyper kitten. She is very intelligent and loves to play fetch with twist-ties or hazelnuts.
