Organic, local farmers, nurseries, bakeries, craftspersons and products with amazing food for our souls. Beautiful location on the Inlet and a place to eat and soak up positive energy. Good for our carbon footprint when we attend church in Olympia most Sundays. Parking available. Great choices in fruit, veggies and plants.

Love supporting my local farmers. Some of them I see not onlyl at the market but at church. Their constant drive to make our community a better place is amazing. Supporting my local market gives other local farmers a chance to "share" their goods as well.

It is one of the nicest farmers' markets I have ever visited. They have a permanent structure built to support all the local farmers, craftspeople, and bakers. It's one of the thing sI enjoy when visiting WA. And my brother and his wife run an organic farm and have a booth there! They have delicious veggies! My brother and his wife are organic farmer

Besides being a wonderful source of fresh fruits, veggies, plants, and local arts and crafts, our market is a wonderful community gathering place. People take time to visit, eat along the food walk, listen to local musicans play on the stage, discuss politics. It is Democracy in action; like the Forum in Rome ! Plus it promotes healthy eating !

Olympia farmers market is a great place for people to connect, and keep the money in the local economy. buying from a supermarket, you send your money faraway to Chile, or Mexico, even china in some cases. The community and local economy thrives when you support the farmers market.

Our farmer's market supports many of the small farms in the region which my husband and I wholly approve. The veggies and fruit are out of this world and they offer fresh fish and shellfish. The music, the food vendors, and the crafters make this weekly trip in from our small town a great experience.

Olympia Farmers' Market is not only full of locally sourced, many organic growers and producers but it is located a short walk from Budd Inlet on the Puget Sound with its breathtaking views of our State Capital campus, Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountains. In addition there is an amazing array of crafters who make functional and beautiful items for the home and for gifts. It's the first place I go for gift buying.

It's beautiful. It's near my house and I can ride my bike there. I always see friends. Most of the time, there's some kind of entertainment. The prepared food is great! I enjoy having a relationship with the people from whom I buy produce. Shall I go on? Plenty of free samples without the accompanied huckstering, a la Costco, Albertson's, etc. Great quality foods and crafts. Did I mention how beautiful the place is?

It's a wonderful four day market with local produce & plants. The vendors there are knowledgeable and helpful. They always have a smile & welcome questions about their products and the area. The local Master Gardeners have a garden and booth there for people to peruse and ask questions. With lots of local food & music, there is always a festive atmosphere there. My grandchildren love to go there, especially for snow cones. My husband loves to go there for the pepperoni and I love to look at the plants & produce. All in all, it is the best Farmer's Market that I have been to.

The Olympia Farmers Market is a centerpiece of our community. The fresh local produce, the ability to support our local farmers and craftsmen is important to me vs. shopping at a big chain market. The entertainment and music are also very fun and add to a festive atmosphere. I always run into friends at the market, too.

The wide diversity of vendors . . . all 'on the same page' . . . quality and value. Moreover, the people themselves are genial and sincere. The crowd that the market draws is, of itself, a compliment to the community that we share. One feels comfortable and entertained, as well as 'nourished' by the experience.

The Oly Farmers Market brings more life and business to the downtown community and to the local growers and artisans that have the opportunity to sell their products there. It is located on the waterfront and features local live music and a good atmosphere. I would love to see this market grow, and in these hard economic times, it, like many local, community-based spaces, like parks, are being shorted or closed. Keep the farmers market alive!

A rich and bountiful mix of locally grown and crafted products, daily music and other entertainment on the stage, seven specialty food vendors offering home-style ethnic and American breakfast and lunch fare, and a wonderful sense of community, all under an attractive, permanent open-air wooden structure. We have fresh baked goods, local butchers who smoke their own meat, fresh seafood, locally harvested mushrooms, and beautiful plants, vegetable, fruit, and flowering, for home gardens. There is always a local music group playing at the market, and you can have lunch there, from Thai to Mexican to German as your choices. I go every weekend to pick up fresh, organic produce from families that I respect, to listen to music and eat breakfast with my friends, and to feel included in the vibrant, conscious, food-loving community of Olympia. It's the place I bring all out of town visitors to give them a taste of why I call this home.

They are real people from our local community -- very grassrootsy -- with high quality locally grown food. Also, it's a great meeting place because people get together in a face-to-face way and socialize, not at all like a regular grocery store.

It has the best fruit confections and chocolate eclairs ever. I have thought about flying all the way from New Mexico up there to get them. It's also got everything else you'd want in a farmer's market and it's in a gorgeous setting, with a delightful little harbor and great restaurants practically next-door.

The Olympia Farmers Market has been a major community focal point for years and years. It serves as a grand gathering place for people from all over. Locals and tourists are drawn in to buy local produce and wares, as well as to see a showcase of local musicians, artists, and entertainers. There is a lot of talk about the value of a "sense of community." Olympia is a city in which that sense is alive and well and the farmers market is one of our community's living centers. There are friends, there is fresh beautiful local and organic food, there are the stalls that routinely hire our youth to sell produce and pass out samples. There are our local craftspeople and artists selling everything from sparkling jewelry to tee-shirts, from hand made soaps to artisan cheeses. Add live music and the fragrances of roasted nuts, curries, and coffee and you have the perfect antidote to the loneliness and isolation that are such unfortunate by-products of modern life!
