It's a jewel of a market and building, historically and architecturally, featuring some of Lancaster County's best, local bounty.

I supported Central Market growing up in Lancaster County and after living a number of places across the country, nothing compares to Lancaster County Farmers Markets. They are simply the best I've found and strive to find them elsewhere with little success.

I go there evey week to buy my fruits and veggies. It's a great way to support local agriculture and get the freshest food around as well as supporting local buisnesses. I loko forward to going every week with my son!

It is a VERY OLD market, dating back to the 1730's. The oldest market building in the country. Smells wonderful when you walk inside. You can find almost any kind of food you'd like for your recipes or for you to eat on the spot. Yummmm!!!

Lancaster is where I truly discovered the farmers market. I was use to living among big cities and never really saw a farmers market until moving to Lancaster for college. That's where I fell in love with farmers markets and haven't truly found a better one since.

Fresh local produce mostly grown by the large Mennonite/Amish community. It's fresh--it's local and it is a great experience!

We used to go to this market while working for a Summer camp many years ago. We compare all other Farmer's Market's to this one and they just aren't up to par. This one was the best. Too bad the St. Louis Metro area doesn't have one like it. Even Soulard isn't as good. There was always a great variety and at a reasonable price. We were college students so price was important.
