DFM is a natural extension of the wonderful community in which we live and exemplifies all that MY Davidson represents. The local food is always excellent, the atmosphere is fun, friendly and communal and one can always count on having an interesting experience on any given market day. I'm really unhappy when I miss the market!

Only Local. Great Organizers. Wonderful Volunteers. Superb Vendors. All in the most wonderful little town in the entire NC Piedmont. We love the Davidson Market, Davidson College, all of the other local businesses and the many special events the town hosts!

I can ride my bike to it, let the kids play at the "tot lot", grab a cuppa joe at Summit (the local coffee shop), hear talented local musicians while perusing the produce, baked goods, and other offerings, and often end the morning checking out a festival or other event across the street at the green. A quick detour on the bike through the college campus as we leave tops off the day. It's friendly, local, "one-stop" shopping and entertainment!

I believe it's important to keep farms going in our towns so we can encourage getting back to what life & family used to be all about. I enjoy fresh local foods whenever I can get them.
